Mystical Adventure Story

Note: This is based on the Funimation dub of the series.

This movie starts with Goku(with a slightly less girly voice, maybe a little boyish, the best throughout the movies so far) and Krillin finishing their training before a tournament.  Master Roshi has them jump around to test their strength and agility.  He had entered them in a tournament help by Emperor Chiaotzu.  It also shows Minister Shen, Tien Shinhan, and Mercenary Tao taking a Dragon Radar from Emperor Pilaf.  Colonel Blue is taking his men around, looking for Chiaotzu's wife (which is actually a doll that sort of looks like him).  Shen tells Chiaotzu that they are collecting the Dragonballs to find his "wife" when they are actually trying to take the country away from Chiaotzu.  Colonel Blue walks in and points this out to Chiaotzu, but then Mercenary Tao kills him.  Chiaotzu has his men finding the Dragonballs, including at the base of Korin Tower, where the Dragon Radar tells them a Dragonball is in the general area.  Bora and his son Upa are concealing the ball because it is their duty to protect the land, and no good could come from something that people are searching so hard that they would destroy everything in their path.  Airplanes shoot at him, but the bullets do nothing and he gets away with his son and the Dragonball.  He goes to the city to talk to the emperor, because whoever wins the tournament gets to talk to Emperor Chiaotzu.  Bulma uses a spy plane to see where Shen is hiding the Dragonballs so she can later retrieve them.  Bora goes to a resteraunt where Goku and friends are eating.  Some soldiers find Bora and calls for Tao.  Mercenary Tao enters the restaurant and is about to kill him until he finds out that he has entered the tournament.  He decides to wait until later to kill him and leaves.  Bora gives the Dragonball to Goku after Goku recognizes it has his grandfather's ball.  Bora advances through the tournament the next day.  When he has almost won the tournament, Tao comes in and kills him by throwing him into a statue with a spear on it.  Goku chops the spear off the statue and gets Bora off the spear-tip.  Goku then attacks Merceanry Tao.  Goku fires a Kamehameha Wave at Tao, but it only destroys his clothes.  Tao fires a Dodon Ray at Goku, who only survived because of the Dragonball in his clothing, but he is still flung hundreds of miles away to the top of Korin Tower.  After a Sensu Bean and some spiritual teachings from Korin, a cat who lives at the top of the tower, he flies back on his Flying Nimbus to fight Tao again.  During this, Minister Shen tells Tao that he just blasted the Dragonball away along with the boy, so Tao takes a column and throws it.  Tien Shinhan knocks out Master Roshi so that he will not interfear with their plans.  Puar, Oolong, Bulma, Yamcha, Upa, and Launch break in to try to steal the Dragonballs.  They eventually get caught, but they drop the Dragonballs into a deep, narrow chasm.  He jumps on and flies towards Korin Tower.  A little girl sees the flying Tao and throws a very large rock at the flying mercenary.  Goku surprises Mercenary Tao when he sees him and Tao realizes the fact that he had survived.  Then the large rock hits Tao, making him fall to the ground.  Goku lands also, and learns that the girl is named Arale.  Tao does not believe her when she tells him that she threw the rock, but she soon proves it by giving details about the rock.  Tao realizes that he can not beat children with force, but with trickery.  He says that he is going to leave and become a good person after pulling out a capsule jet.  He then takes Goku's Dragonball and flees.  He shoots missiles at them, but they redirect them back to Tao, and he is killed in the blast.  Goku recovers his Dragonball and starts the journey back to the tournament.  Tien is told by Minister Shen to kill Chiaotzu, but Tien hesitates.  When Tien refuses, Shen decides to do it himself and fires a Dodon Ray at Chiaotzu.  Tien jumps into the path and fires a Tri-Beam, which sends Shen flying away.  Tien returns Chiaotzu's "wife" to him.  Major Metalitron is about to kill Upa when Goku flies into the major and kills him.  Chiaotzu fires everyone in his palace besides Tien Shinhan, but he tells the others that it is impossible to retrive the Dragonballs from the chasm.  Goku throws the last Dragonball into the chasm and calls Shenron.  Upa wishes that his father be returned to life, and Shenron grants this request.  The Dragonballs disperse throughout the world and Goku flies away on his Flying Nimbus, ending the movie.
