Saiyan Saga
5 years have passed since Dragonball. Dragonball Z begins with Chi-Chi not being able to find her son, Gohan. Chi-Chi tells Goku to find him so they won't be late at Master Roshi's house. Gohan is playing with nature when a Saber Tooth Tiger (without stripes) shows up and steals Gohan's hat. Gohan chases it and accidentally runs off a cliff. The tiger gets away and Gohan miraculously survived by catching a branch with his tail. Goku finds the tiger and gets Gohan's hat back. He finds Gohan, and they fly to Master Roshi's island on the Flying Nimbus. Little do they know that the Saiyan known as Radits has arrived on Earth. He tries to find the highest power level that he thinks must belong to Kakarot. He flies off and finds Piccolo Jr. Radits knows this is obviously not Kakarot and finds a stronger power level with his scouter. He finds it and flies off. Goku arrives at Master Roshi's house and introduces Gohan to Krillin, Master Roshi, Turtle, and Bulma. As Gohan plays with a crab, Radits shows up. He reveals that Goku is his brother and is named Kakarot. He tells Goku he is from a race of space pirates that destroy alien races and sell planets. He asks Goku to join up with them on a planet that may need 4 Saiyans. Goku refuses, saying he is good. Radits changes methods. He picks up Gohan and says that if Goku does not bring 100 dead Earthlings in 24 hours, he will kill Gohan. He then leaves, taking Gohan with him. Piccolo Jr. shows up and proposes that they team up to take down Radits. Luckily, the 4 star Dragonball is on the top of Gohan's hat. They use the dragon radar to track them down. Radits gets annoyed with Gohan and locks him in his space pod. When Goku and Piccolo Jr. arrive, they challenge Radits to battle. At first, Radits is easily winning the battle. He even deflects Goku's Kamehameha Wave. He even takes off one of Piccolo's arms. Piccolo tries his newest technique, the Special Beam Cannon. Radits barely dodges it, but it takes out a piece of his armor. Goku has another plan, to grab Radits's tail. When he does this, Radits begs for his life. He said he would leave in peace. Goku trusts him, and Radits attacks as soon as he is up. Right as Radits is about to kill Goku, Gohan breaks out of the pod and attacks Radits, damaging his armor. Radits knocks Gohan out, and is about to kill him when Goku grabs him and restricts his movement. Piccolo blasts Radits and Goku with his Special Beam Cannon. He kills them both. Right before Radits dies, Piccolo tells him Goku would not be dead long because of the Dragonballs. Radits then reveals that everything that had happened was broadcast to 2 other Saiyans that were even more powerful than him. Radits tells Piccolo the Saiyans will be there in 1 year. Goku's body disappears because Kami gives Goku his body after death so he can train with King Kai. King Yemma lets Goku go on the 10,000 mile long Snake Way to get to King Kai's planet. Gohan starts training with Piccolo so he can be able to fight the 2 Saiyans. The 1st 6 months is survival training. After that he would train with Piccolo. Piccolo leaves him on a high piece of land. Gohan is scared to try to go down, so he stays there. The next night he sees the full Moon and becomes a great ape, destroying the piece of land. Piccolo comes and cuts off his tail. He reverts back to normal and Piccolo gives him new clothes and a sword. Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yajiroby start their training at Kami's Lookout. Goku sees a vehicle cleaning Snake Way and hitches a ride. He falls asleep and falls off the truck and off Snake Way. He falls into hell. 2 ogres challenge him to contests of speed and strength. If Goku wins, they try to help him to get back onto Snake Way. Goku wins, and the 2nd ogre shows him a passage way that leads back up to Snake Way. He climbs the stairs in the passage and finds himself in King Yemma's desk drawer. He now has to start all over again. When he is about halfway there, he is sucked into Princess Snake's castle. There she tries to drug him so she can eat him. He escapes and continues his journey on Snake Way. Gohan starts his training with Piccolo. Piccolo seems to grow a strong liking for the boy. Their training mostly consists of combat. 1 night, Gohan starts acting strange. He then looks up at the sky and sees what appears to be the moon. Gohan's tail has also grown back so he turns into a great ape. Piccolo finds a contraption that is projecting a hologram of the moon. He destroys the machine. Gohan then starts to act normal again. Goku finally makes it to the end of Snake Way. He flies to King Kai's planet. He finds out there is 10x the gravity of Earth on the planet. He assumes that a monkey is King Kai and starts mimicking him, thinking it is training. The real King Kai shows up and tells Goku his first test, to catch Bubbles, his pet monkey. Goku does this in about 2 weeks. His next test is to hit Gregory on the head with a large hammer. He succeeds and starts training with King Kai himself. He learns the Kaio-ken technique and the Spirit Bomb. King Kai tells Goku not to go over Kaio-ken 2x. The day the Saiyans arrive, the Saiyan known as Nappa destroys East City with a single energy blast. They use their scouters to find the highest power level on Earth, thinking this would be the person that killed Radits. They fly off to where Piccolo and Gohan had been training. Krillin arrives before the Saiyans get there. When the Saiyans arrive, Nappa plants 6 Saibamen. Tien and Chiaotzu then arrive. After that, Yamcha arrives. Now it is the 6 heroes vs. the 6 Saibamen. They decide to make it 1 on 1 at a time. Tien fights the 1st Saibaman and wins. Vegeta, the other Saiyan, finds this as weakness and kills the Saibaman. Yamcha fights the next Saibaman. He beats him into the ground. Thinking he has won, he starts boasting how he would fight them all. Then the Saibaman jumps onto him and self-destructs. Yamcha dies in the explosion. Krillin, angered by the loss of his friend, fires an energy blast that kills all but 1 of the remaining Saibamen. The last 1 lunges at Gohan. Piccolo grabs it and kills it. Nappa then steps onto the battlefield. He attacks Tien Shinhan. Chiaotzu tries to stop Nappa by latching onto his back and self-destructing. Nappa does not even seem injured. He continues to beat Tien down. Krillin, Gohan, and Piccolo try to fight him, but they seem to be unsuccessful. Tien uses all his remaining energy in a final attack. It does not seem to phase Nappa, but Tien dies from exhaustion. That only leaves Krillin, Gohan, and Piccolo to fight the Saiyans. They tell Vegeta that Goku would be able to beat both of them. Vegeta is intrigued. He delays the fighting for 3 hours. Nappa kills time by blowing things up. Goku arrives on Earth, but is far away from the battlefield. When the 3 hours are up, Vegeta tells Nappa to continue the fight. Piccolo tries to grab Nappa's tail, but it does not affect Nappa. Nappa fires an energy blast at Gohan. Piccolo takes the blast. He gives his life for Gohan. Kami also dies because Piccolo died. Gohan is angered and fires a powerful Masenko-Ha at Nappa. Krillin also fires a destructo disk. Nappa would have tried to deflect it, but Vegeta tells him to dodge it. It misses Nappa and cuts part of the mountain that was behind Nappa. Goku finally arrives, giving Krillin and Gohan a half of the last Sensu Bean each. Vegeta uses his scouter to detect Goku's power level. The scouter tells him that Goku's power level is 9,000. Vegeta finds this outrageous and breaks his scouter. Goku starts to fight Nappa. Goku is easily beating Nappa when Vegeta says that he is going to fight Goku alone. Nappa is disappointed but knows better than to cross Vegeta. He tries to attack Krillin and Gohan. Goku uses his Kaio-ken attack and beats Nappa. Nappa asks Vegeta for a hand. Vegeta says that a Saiyan that can't fight does not deserve to live. He kills Nappa. Goku tells Krillin and Vegeta to go back to Master Roshi's house. Goku and Vegeta fly away to a rocky area to fight. Goku can't beat him with his Kaio-ken attack, so he tries a Kaio-ken 2x. When that does not phase Vegeta, Goku goes against King Kai's wishes and tries a Kaio-ken 3x. Goku gains the upper hand. Vegeta decides he would destroy the Earth because he could not beat Goku. He attacks, but Goku counters with a Kamehameha Wave. It seems to be a tie, but Vegeta gains the upper hand. Goku takes the risk of powering up his Kamehameha Wave by powering up to a Kaio-ken 4x. Goku blasts Vegeta into the clouds and gets a chance to rest a bit. Vegeta starts looking for the moon so that he can transform into a great ape. When he can't find it, he returns to the battlefield. He creates a ball that emits blux waves, the waves that make a Saiyan turn into a great ape. He throws it into the sky and transforms into a great ape. Unlike most Saiyans, however, Vegeta has full control when he is in his transformed state. Goku is too tired to fight Vegeta. He blinds Vegeta with a Solar Flare and flies away so he can gather energy for a Spirit Bomb. Vegeta finds him and starts beating him up almost to death. He loses most of the energy that he had gathered for his Spirit Bomb. Gohan and Krillin arrive and try to help Goku. Krillin tries to cut off Vegeta's tail, but the ape dodges it. All seems lost, but out of nowhere, Yajiroby comes and cuts off Vegeta's tail. He then runs away so he will not feel Vegeta's wrath. Gohan tries to fight Vegeta, but he is too weak. Goku asks Krillin to come to him. When he gets there, Goku gives Krillin the remaining energy for the Spirit Bomb. He throws it at Vegeta, but Vegeta dodges it. The Spirit Bomb starts to head towards Gohan. Since Gohan is pure of heart, he is able to hit the Spirit Bomb back at Vegeta. It hits him and almost kills him. He falls to the ground. When he awakens, he is about to kill the rest of the Z-fighters. Goku tells Gohan to look at the ball of energy that sends out blux waves. Gohan's tail grows back and he starts transforming into a great ape. Gohan goes berserk. Goku is able to speak to Gohan so he would be able to mainly target Vegeta. During the fight, Vegeta is able to cut off Gohan's tail. Too bad for Vegeta that Gohan landed on Vegeta with the weight of his gorilla form. When Vegeta recovers, he is too weak to fight. He calls his space pod so that he can retreat. Krillin grabs Yajiroby's sword and tries to kill Vegeta. Goku tells him to let him go. Vegeta escapes and heads to a place in space where he can recover. Krillin finds the remote that Vegeta used to have his space pod come to him. Oolong, Chi-Chi, Master Roshi, and Korin are flying to the battlefield and pick up Yajiroby, Krillin, Goku, and Gohan. They fly to the other battlefield and pick up the heroes that had not survived. Krillin has an idea. He overheard the Saiyans say that Piccolo was a Namekian. He says that they should try to find other Namekians and see if they have Dragonballs so they can wish their dead friends back to life. With the help of King Kai, they find out where planet Namek is. Bulma calculates that it would take over 4,000 years to get their with the most powerful rocket on Earth. Krillin realizes that the space ship that Vegeta retreated in was way to small to fit him and Nappa. He must have also had a space ship. He shows Bulma the remote that called Vegeta's pod. They decide to use Nappa's ship to get to Namek. The next day, Goku, Gohan, and Krillin are hospitalized. Gohan and Krillin would be released soon enough. Goku would be there for a while. Korin says he would start growing more Sensu Beans to speed Goku's recovery. Bulma and Krillin already plan to go to Namek. They point the remote at the television that is showing Nappa's space pod. It blows up. Then Mr. Popo shows up and shows Bulma Kami's old spaceship that he used to get to Earth. She calculates it would take 1 month to get to Namek using the spaceship. It is voice-activated, but it has to be in the Namekian language. She builds a translator. Gohan tells Chi-Chi that he is going with Krillin and Bulma to Namek. A week later, they board the spaceship. They get onto the spaceship and blast off. Their destination, Namek.
Namek Saga
On the way to planet Namek, they run into what appears to be an invisible spaceship. They enter the ship, only to find the place to be filled with traps. Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan find what appears to be a table with a feast of food on it. It turns out to be another trap. Children seem to have captured Bulma and have guns pointed at her. The children think that they are working for the villain known as Frieza. When the ship runs into an asteroid belt, Bulma runs into the cockpit and guides the ship out of the belt. Realizing that Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma are friends, they let them leave. The kids show Bulma a shortcut that should cut down their journey by 10 days. They take the shortcut, and they see a planet that appears to be planet Namek. They crash land and appear to be saved by 2 Namekians. Bulma uses her dragon radar and sees that it says that there are 3 Dragonballs nearby. On the hunt for the 6th Dragonball, the Namekians did not come. Once they have the Dragonball, they try to leave. It shows 2 aliens trying to kill them by controlling the icy cave around Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma. They escape and look for the last Dragonball. They see that the last Dragonball appears to be in a stone building surrounded by water. Krillin has a weird feeling. As Gohan crosses the water, he seems unable to move. As Krillin is about to help Gohan, the 2 Namekians grab Bulma. They show their true forms. They are big, pink aliens that have been tricking them from the start. The planet also changes. Squid like creatures show themselves and these are who have a hold on Gohan. The aliens explaine how they found Gohan, Krillin, Bulma, and the ship in bad shape. They brought them to their house and collected memories using their antenna. They figured out that Gohan and company were trying to get to Namek and collect the Dragonballs. They plan to take their ship, leaving Gohan and company stranded. They foil the aliens plan and leave, heading to the real planet Namek. During their hunt for the Dragonballs on the fake planet Namek, Vegeta had landed on a planet owned by Frieza to recover. He is fully healed with the exception of his tail not growing back. An alien named Qui tells Vegeta that Frieza had flown to planet Namek to collect the Dragonballs and gain immortality. Vegeta is angered by this and gets in his space pod to fly to planet Namek. Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan finally arrive on planet Namek. Their joy is cut short, however. Vegeta also lands on Namek. After that, another space pod lands on Namek. This space pod belongs to Qui. He finds Vegeta and fights him. Vegeta beats Qui and kills him. Frieza is also on Namek, and he has 4 of the 7 Namekian Dragonballs. He is terrorizing a village for his 5th. Back on Earth, Yajiroby delivers Goku a sensu bean. Goku is instantly healed, and he flies off to Bulma's house to see if her dad had finished working on his spaceship. This spaceship has the engine of Goku's space pod that he used to get to Earth. Dr. Briefs had installed a gravity machine that would change the gravity from 1x to 100x Earth's gravity. He starts his training at 20x. His dad had finished it, with the exception that there is no cappuchino machine. Goku decides to use the ship before the cappuchino machine was installed. Goku is now 6 days from Namek. On Namek, Frieza is still trying to get the 5th Dragonball from an elder. Krillin and Gohan are watching from a nearby cliff. Frieza demands the Dragonball. When he does not present it, Frieza kills another old Namekian. He decides to cooperate and give Frieza the Dragonball. After this Frieza kills almost all the other Namekians in the village. Gohan is angered by this, and is about to fly in when 3 younger Namekians show up. These 3 Namekains kill all of Frieza's weaker henchmen. Seeing this, Frieza sends in one of his right hand men, Dodoria. He kills all 3 Namekains without breaking a sweat. The elder Namek destroys the scouters so that Frieza will not be able to find the other villages that easily. There are now no scouters on the planet Namek besides the one belonging to Vegeta. When the elder and a Namekian child are killed, Gohan grabs the last remaining villager, another child, and runs off. Krillin follows him. Dodoria chases them. When he almost catches them, Krillin uses a Solar Flare. This blinds Dodoria giving them a chance to escape. He levels the area. He thinks that they had died, so he heads back to Frieza. He runs into Vegeta. Dodoria tries to have Vegeta give him the last scouter on the planet. Vegeta drops it and stomps on it. Vegeta starts to fight him. He is about to kill him when Vegeta tries to cut a deal. Dodoria reveals what happened on planet Vegeta. He says that Frieza blew it up because he feared that the Saiyans would become strong enough to defeat him. After saying this, Dodoria tries to fly away, but Vegeta kills him with an energy blast. Inside Goku's spaceship, he is still training at 20x gravity when an astroid hits his ship and drives him off course. This new course would take him straight into a star that is hotter than the sun. Goku uses his spacesuit to go on the outside of his spaceship so he can fix the damage with space glue. He accidentily glues himself to the outside of the ship. He tries to use a Kamehameha Wave to blast himself away from the star, but the gravity keeps pulling him in. He tries to use a Kamehameha Wave at full power to get away and succeds. He then gets back into his ship and fixes his course. Back on Namek, Vegeta, no longer needing a scouter to sense energy, finds a Namekian village. When they refuse to give him the Dragonball, he kills all but one. Vegeta takes the Dragonball and throws it into the sea, thinking it would be a safe place to put it. Dende and Krillin leave to find Guru, the eldest Namekain, to get the final Dragonball. On Goku's spaceship, Goku receives a telepathic call from King Kai. King Kai tells Goku that Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha have all arrived on his planet. King Kai looks at planet Namek and realizes that Frieza is on the planet. He warns Goku not to go near Frieza and makes him promise him not to fight him. King Kai also tells Piccolo to promise him that he would not fight Frieza. They both agree. Frieza dispatches Zarbon and another henchman to find a Namekian village. The other henchman finds the village Vegeta destroyed. He kills the last survivor. Zarbon runs into Vegeta. When they start fighting, Vegeta seems to have the upper hand. Zarbon transforms into a lizard like state. In this form, Zarbon is even stronger than Vegeta. He knocks Vegeta into the ocean and flies back to Frieza. Krillin and Dende finally arrive at Guru's house. There he gives Krillin the Dragonball and unlocks Krillin's sleeping power. Krillin flies back to get Gohan so Guru could unlock his power too. Zarbon tells Frieza that he had killed Vegeta. When Frieza finds out he only assumes he killed Vegeta, he sends Zarbon off to find Vegeta and bring him to the ship. Zarbon finds him and takes him to Frieza's ship. Frieza's men try to revive him with a healing pod. It looks as though the Saiyan prince might never wake up. When he awakens, he destroys the pod and steals the 5 Dragonballs in Frieza's possession. Frieza, angered by the loss of his Dragonballs, orders Zarbon to find Vegeta or he would be killed. Gohan goes to the place where he sensed Vegeta kill the Namekians. He uses the dragon radar to find the Dragonball. He starts flying to the cave where they had been hiding out. When Krillin arrives at the cave where Gohan and Bulma had been hiding, he finds that Gohan had left to find the Dragonball. Then Vegeta shows up and shortly after him, Zarbon. Vegeta and Zarbon fight again, now with Vegeta beating Zarbon even in his transfromed body. Zarbon tells Vegeta that Frieza can also transform his body. Vegeta kills Zarbon and takes the Dragonball from Krillin. Vegeta leaves to go retrieve the Dragonball that he had hid in the sea. Back in space, Goku's ship runs into a magnetic storm. This strom messes with the gravity machine, making it go from 50x to 100x to 80x to 1x to 100x gravity. With Goku tied to the ceiling for an exercise, he can not turn off the machine. Frieza calls for reinforcements when he tells his men to call the Ginyu Force. Gohan senses that Vegeta is on his way to the sea that he had hid the Dragonball. He hides the Dragonball and reveals himself to Vegeta. Vegeta sees the dragon radar and interogates Gohan about it. Gohan gets away with calling it an antique watch. Vegeta leaves Gohan and continues his jouney to the place where the Dragonball once was without noticing the Dragonball that Gohan possesses. When Gohan arrives at the cave, Krillin has them move camp. After this, Gohan and Krillin start their journey to Guru's house. They go slow so that they won't be detected by Vegeta. When Vegeta discovers that the Dragonball is gone, he realizes that the "antique watch" was some sort of Dragonball detector. He flies back to the cave. When he finds it deserted, he destroys it and pledges to find them. Frieza is so angered by the loss of his Dragonballs that he fires energy blasts at random places. One of these blasts causes an explosion that makes the Dragonball roll away from Bulma. It goes to the bottom of the nearby sea. She uses a submarine to go to the bottom and find it. She finds the Dragonball among other similarly sized balls. She tries to grab it but is denied when a giant crab attacks her because the other balls were eggs. She saves the crab when a giant rock almost falls on it. In return, the crab gave her the Dragonball. When she reaches the surface, she is met by 2 of Frieza's henchmen. She convinces them to go hunt for the Dragonballs and make a wish for themselves. They take her along because she claims she knows the location of many Dragonballs. She leads them to where she met the giant crab. It attacks the 2 men, and Bulma tries to escape. They catch up to her and are about to kill her when the giant crab jumps to the surface, grabs the men, and is assumed to eat them.
Ginyu Force Saga
Krillin and Gohan decide to speed up a bit. This is detected by Vegeta, who starts flying in pursuit, taking a Dragonball with him so even if Bulma found them, she would not be able to call the dragon. When they are in sight of Guru's house, Krillin detects Vegeta. He tells Gohan to go on while he delays Vegeta. Gohan goes into Guru's house and is powered up. Vegeta flies past Krillin and arrives at Guru's door. He senses Gohan's new power and assumes it is Goku. He is surprised when he finds that it is Gohan that holds this power. Nail, a Namekian warrior, emerges and says that the Namekian dragon will grant them 3 wishes. Then Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan all sense a 5 great powers coming to Namek. Vegeta says it must be the Ginyu Force. They make an uneasy allience with Vegeta. They fly to where Krillin and Gohan had hidden the Dragonball with Bulma. They take the Dragonball and start flying to where Vegeta had his 6 Dragonballs. The Ginyu Force gives Frieza new scouters, and Frieza tells the them to kill Gohan and Krillin but bring Vegeta back alive. When Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta get there, Gohan and Krillin start doubting Vegeta. This gives the Ginyu Force enough time to stop them from calling the dragon. They had 5 Dragonballs behind them, 1 with Vegeta, and 1 with Krillin. Vegeta tries to throw his ball away, but it is caught by Burter who is known as the fastest creature in the universe. Vegeta tells Krillin to destroy his ball, but Guldo, the smallest and weakest of the Ginyu Force, freezes time and grabs it. Now the Ginyu Force has all 7 Dragonballs. Captain Ginyu takes the 7 Dragonballs to Frieza while the other 4 members of the Ginyu Force play rock, paper, scissors for who would fight Gohan and Krillin, and who would fight Vegeta. Recoome wins and decides he will fight Vegeta. Guldo starts fighting Gohan and Krillin. Gohan and Krillin seem to be beating Guldo. Guldo keeps escaping their attacks by freezing time. He pulls out all the stops and uses his ultimate move that summons a cloud that paralyzes your opponents. After toying with his paralyzed opponents, he gets a giant, pointy stick to throw at Krillin. It would have hit him, but Vegeta intervened and decapitates Guldo. Guldo still seems to be conscious with his head talking. Vegeta blasts Guldo's head, killing him. Recoome starts to fight Vegeta. Vegeta seems to have the upper hand, landing blow after blow. When Recoome gets hit into a giant rock, his armor is destroyed, but when Recoome comes out of it he seems unharmed. He then starts pulverizing Vegeta, almost killing him. Krillin tries to intervene, but Recoome beats him down too. Then Gohan starts to fight Recoome, but Recoome breaks his neck. Goku then arrives on planet Namek. He senses Frieza as the most powerful person on the planet, then Captain Ginyu as the 2nd most powerful. He then senses Krillin and Gohan and flies to the battlefield. When he lands, he gives Gohan a Sensu Bean. He then gives one to Krillin and Vegeta. He uses a mind reading technique to read Krillin's mind to discover what had happened on Namek up to that point. Burter and Jeice use their scouters to detect Goku's power level. Their scouters tell them that Goku's power level is 5,000. Recoome thinks this is going to be too easy. Goku raises his power and speed for just a semi second, so the scouters don't even detect it. He knocks out Recoome with 1 hit. He then starts to fight Burter and Jeice at the same time, but they can't even touch Goku. Goku defeats Burter. Seeing his partner's defeat, Jeice runs away to Captain Ginyu. Frieza tries to summon the Namekian dragon. When he fails, he remembers that the 2nd Namekian elder said that he would not have his wish granted, even if he could gather all the Dragonballs. He starts to fly to Guru's house. Captain Ginyu tells some men to bury the Dragonballs. Captain Ginyu and Jeice fly back to the battlefield. Vegeta kills Burter and Recoome. When Jeice and Ginyu arrive on the scene, Goku makes a plan. He realizes nobody would be guarding the Dragonballs, so he tells Gohan and Krillin to go and retrieve them. Goku tells Vegeta to fight Jeice and he would take Ginyu, but Vegeta flies away right before the fighting starts. He flies to Frieza's ship. He changes into a different armor style. Ginyu can already tell that Goku's true power level is much more than 5,000. He assumes that Goku's true power level is around 60,000. With Vegeta gone, Goku has to fight Ginyu and Jeice alone, but Captain Ginyu decides to fight alone. Guru tells Dende to fly to Krillin and Gohan to give them the password to summon the dragon. Frieza arrives at Guru's house, and demands the password. Nail says he will fight Frieza. They fly to another location and start fighting. Frieza is clearly more powerful. At first, Ginyu and Goku do not fight at full strength. Captain Ginyu tells Goku to power up to his maximum. Goku shows that his power is 180,000. With Captain Ginyu's maximum being only 90,000, Captain Ginyu makes a new strategy. He starts letting the battle tip into Goku's favor. He then punches himself. After this, he uses his ultimate technique, the body switch. He then flies off with Jeice in Goku's body to Frieza's ship. Krillin and Gohan arrive at Frieza's ship and dig out the Dragonballs. Krillin tries to summon the dragon, but he is also unsuccessful. Ginyu and Jeice arrive on the scene. Krillin assumes it is Goku, and explains what happened. Gohan notices that something is wrong, and tells Krillin to look out. Ginyu attacks Krillin. Then the real Goku arrives. He tells them that they need to fight Captain Ginyu with all they have. Ginyu tries to power up to Goku's maximum, but is only able to get 20,000 out of it. It is up to Krillin, Gohan, and the weakened Goku to fight Ginyu. Vegeta now emerges and starts fighting Jeice. He easily overpowers Jeice and kills him. Vegeta starts to fight Captain Ginyu. Ginyu, realizing Vegeta is much more powerful than him, starts letting the battle tip into Vegeta's favor. He tries to use the body switching technique, but Goku takes the blast and returns to his body. Ginyu, now in his own body, tries to use the body switching technique on Vegeta, but Goku throws a frog like creature and Ginyu is trapped in the body of the small beast. Captain Ginyu flees. Vegeta takes Goku to a healing pod. He also gives Krillin and Gohan new armor.
Frieza Saga
Krillin decides to head to Guru's house to get the password for the Dragonballs. Something seems to be bothering Vegeta. He decides to take a nap for half an hour. This leaves Gohan to guard the Dragonballs. Krillin runs into Dende, and they start flying back to the ship. Dende tells Krillin that the dragon has to be summoned in the Namekian language. They get back and take the Dragonballs a little ways away, so they can make their own wishes and not have Vegeta wish for eternal life. Dende calls out the Namekian dragon, Porunga to grant their wishes. Dende tells them that only 1 person can be resurrected per wish. Frieza realizes that Nail is just stalling for time, and finishes the battle. Nail is left not being able to move. Frieza starts flying back to the ship. Piccolo contacts Gohan, Krillin, and Dende via King Kai. He asks them that for the 1st wish that he be brought back 1st so that Kami would also be resurrected and with him, the Dragonballs. He also tells them that for the 2nd wish, they should wish for him to be brought to Namek. King Kai objects to this, telling him that he promised he would not fight Frieza. Piccolo ignores him. He tells Gohan he can use the 3rd wish for anything else. Dende tells Porunga to resurrect Piccolo with success. He tells Porunga to bring Piccolo to Namek. When Gohan and Krillin can't find them, Dende tells them that he told the dragon only to bring Piccolo to Namek. Piccolo starts heading to where Gohan and Krillin are. Frieza starts firing energy blasts at Goku, and Goku deflects them all with 1 finger. Piccolo notices that he, Krillin, and Gohan are distracting Goku, so he tells them to fly away. The epic battle begins. Somewhere else on the planet, Bulma meets a Namekian frog. She builds a translator for the frog, and the frog is actually Captain Ginyu. Captain Ginyu switches bodies with Bulma. He then flies to the battle on Bulma's air bike. Bulma the frog tags along for the ride. Goku seems just as powerful as Frieza. Frieza then reveals that he had only been fighting with 1% of his true power. He powers up to 50%, and then he starts destroying Goku. Captain Ginyu arrives at the battlefield and actually starts cheering for Frieza, even though he wants to keep his identity a secret. Bulma the frog tries to communicate with Gohan, but Gohan thinks that the frog is still Captain Ginyu. Soon enough, Captain Ginyu acts weird enough that Gohan assumes that he switched bodies with Bulma. Ginyu tries switching bodies with Piccolo, but fails when Gohan throws Bulma into the blast, and Bulma is returned to normal. Goku is inspired by visions, but Frieza can even stand up to a Kaioken 20x Kamehameha Wave without much damage. Goku realizes that the only way to beat Frieza is with a Spirit Bomb. The Ginyu Force minus Captain Ginyu show up on King Kai's planet. Chiaotzu fights Guldo, Yamcha fights Recoome, and Tien fights Burter and Jeice. The Ginyu Force is beaten down to hell. Frieza thinks Goku is just trying to stall when he starts charging for his Spirit Bomb, so he humors Goku and lets him just stand there, without knowing that Goku was gathering energy for his greatest attack. Soon, Frieza gets tired of waiting on Goku, so he attacks him. Piccolo gets energy from Krillin and Gohan and uses the energy for sneaking up on Frieza. He surprises Frieza and sends him flying. Goku continues on gathering energy from Namek and all the surrounding planets. Soon Goku has enough energy for the Spirit Bomb, and he throws it at Frieza. It hits him, and he is thought to be dead. Goku and the others have a minor celebration. Frieza then comes out of the oceans of Namek. He fires a Death Beam at Goku and Piccolo jumps in the way. Frieza then kills Krillin. Goku is so enraged he transforms into a Super Saiyan. Goku seems rejuvenated. He tells Gohan to leave with Piccolo. The fight continues. Frieza's attacks are useless against the Super Saiyan. Soon he gets desperate and tells Goku that the stronger fighter does not always win, but sometimes the smartest. Frieza then fires a giant energy ball at Namek. He tells Goku that the planet will blow up in 5 minutes. Frieza then powers up to 100%. King Kai tells Goku that he should kill Frieza now, but Goku says that if he beats Frieza at his best, Frieza would know that he is not the strongest in the universe and stop hurting people. Gohan drops off Piccolo at the ship and goes to find Bulma. Kami contacts King Kai telling him that Mr. Popo has found 6 of the Dragonballs, and he is working on the 7th. King Kai starts forming a plan. When Mr. Popo found the 7th Dragonball, Kami contacted King Kai. King Kai tells him to have Mr. Popo wish that all the people killed by Frieza or his henchmen to be brought back to life. Shenron grants this wish. Then King Kai contacts Guru and tells him to have a Namekain go find Porunga and ask him to teleport everybody on Namek besides Frieza to Earth. Goku enters the conversation and says that he wants to stay with Frieza. Guru contacts Dende and tells him to go tell Porunga the wish. Goku is beaten down by 1 of Frieza's attacks. Gohan shows up and starts fighting Frieza to give his father time to recover. Goku soon recovers and tells Gohan to take Piccolo and Bulma and leave in the ship. Frieza and Goku notice that Porunga is back. Frieza races to Porunga with Goku trying to stop him. Dende starts telling Porunga to teleport everyone on Namek, besides Frieza and Goku, to Earth. Frieza arrives and yells to Porunga to make him immortal. Porunga ignores Frieza because his wish was not in Namekian. Dende finishes his wish and everybody besides Frieza and Goku are teleported to Earth. The Dragonballs fly into space, heading to Earth. Now Goku and Frieza are the only ones on the dying planet. The fight continues, but soon enough Goku says it isn't worth fighting Frieza anymore. He says that his body is getting weaker by the power straining his body. Frieza is angered and continues the fight. Frieza soon fires his own version of the Destructo Disk that follows Goku. When Goku dodges it with ease, Frieza fires a second one. On Earth, Guru knows that his time is almost up. The Namekian Dragonballs arrive on Earth. Guru makes the Namekian Moori the new leader of the Namekians and gives him the life connection to the Dragonballs. Guru then disappears. Goku tricks Frieza into driving the disks through himself. Frieza is now about to die and asks Goku for mercy. Goku generously gives him some energy. Goku starts flying away when Frieza uses the energy Goku gave him to blast Goku. Goku counters with an even bigger energy blast that is thought to kill Frieza. Goku flies to Frieza's ship because his ship is too far away. Goku tries to make the ship work, but it is too damaged. The planet explodes, and Goku is thought to be dead.
Garlic Jr. Saga
When Kami was away from the lookoout, Garlic Jr. attacks Mr. Popo. He shrinks Mr. Popo and puts him in a glass jar. Kami arrives and Garlic Jr. also imprisons him. Garlic finds his father's Black Water Mist. He realeases it. When somebody comes into contact with the Black Water Mist, they are controlled by the evil inside of themselves. Krillin arrives at the lake where Gohan is swimming. Krillin asks if he wants to go to Master Roshi's house with his new girlfriend Maron. He knows his mom will say no, so he tells Krillin he will ask her anyway. When he does ask, Chi-Chi refuses and tells Gohan to go study. Gohan starts studying but is interupted by his dragon Iccarus. He decides to fly to Master Roshi's house on Iccarus. Krillin and Maron are already at Master Roshi's house. Chi-Chi arrives before Gohan. Krillin and Maron decide to go snorkeling. The Black Water Mist arrives and affects Master Roshi, Bulma, Yamcha, and Chi-Chi. Gohan arrives, and Maron and Krillin emerge from the ocean. Chi-Chi starts attacking Gohan. Bulma, Yamcha, and Master Roshi emerge from the house. Krillin and Gohan try to figure out what happened but can not. Piccolo arrives and starts to fight Yamcha. Piccolo tells Gohan and Krillin to go to Kami's Lookout and retrieve the Sacred Water, the only cure to the Black Water Mist's power. Krillin also brings Maron. Then Garlic Jr.'s 4 minions, the Spice Boys, arrive. They try to pursuade Piccolo to join their side. When he refuses, Yamcha bites Piccolo. Piccolo hits him off, but Bulma and Master Roshi also bite him. Yamcha also bites him again. The leader of the Spice Boys, Spice, announces that if you are bit by somebody that has been affected by the Black Water Mist, you are affected also. Piccolo stands up with an evil look in his eye. Krillin and Gohan arrive at Korin's Tower. They leave Maron with Korin and Yajiroby. They both try to impress her. Krillin and Gohan continue on their journey to Kami's Lookout. They arrive and are met by the Spice Boys and Piccolo. Salt starts fighting Gohan. Soon Piccolo is let loose. He starts fighting Gohan. Krillin tries to save Kami and Mr. Popo by sneaking up on Garlic Jr. He is stopped by a force field. Soon enough, Piccolo bites Krillin. Gohan is no match for his 2 friends. The battle seems grim. Garlic Jr. decides he wants to finish him off. He stops Piccolo. Piccolo quickly grabs the bottles holding Kami and Mr. Popo and throws them to Krillin. Krillin breaks the bottles and Kami and Mr. Popo are released. Piccolo reveals that he had only been acting to be under the control of the Black Water Mist, and he told Krillin to do the same when he bit him. They grab the Sacred Water. The Sacred Water will only reverse the effects of the Black Water Mist within a 24 hour period. The only way to spread the Sacred Water in time is to take it to the 7 air currents which are located at the bottom of the lookout. Kami and Mr. Popo set out to the 7 air currents while Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan fight off Garlic Jr. and 2 of the Spice Boys. Garlic Jr. reveals how he escaped his prison, the Dead Zone. He used the power of the Makyo Star to break out. Garlic Jr., Spice, and Vinegar pump up their bodies with the Makyo Star's power. Kami is met by the earth's former guardian. When the guardian refuses to let Kami and Mr. Popo pass, they run past him. The guardian follows them. Soon, they run into other past guardians. They start draining Kami's life force. Kami tells Mr. Popo to finish the jouney to the 7 air currents. Mr. Popo is too scared. Piccolo is holding his own aghainst Garlic Jr., but with the guardians draining Kami's life force, Piccolo is also being drained. Gohan starts fighting Garlic Jr. The guardians decide to let Kami use the Sacred Water. They deliver it and the people of Earth stop being affected by the Black Water Mist. The guardians send them back to the top of the lookout. With the Sacred Water curing the planet, Garlic Jr.'s plans are ruined. He opens up the Dead Zone. It begins to swallow up the lookout. Gohan is able to generate a force field for himself, Krillin, and Piccolo. Kami and Mr. Popo hold onto a heavy column. Piccolo tells Gohan to blow up the Makyo Star. Gohan is too worried about his friends' safety to break the forcefield. Piccolo and Krillin jump out of the force field so Gohan would blow up the Makyo Star. Gohan destroys it. Garlic Jr. becomes weak and is sucked into the Dead Zone and the portal closes. Peace is brought back to Earth. Krillin and Maron go shopping. When Maron looks at a wedding dress, he thinks about marrying her. He decides to break up with her. When he does this, he regrets it.
Ginyu Force Saga
Krillin and Gohan decide to speed up a bit. This is detected by Vegeta, who starts flying in pursuit, taking a Dragonball with him so even if Bulma found them, she would not be able to call the dragon. When they are in sight of Guru's house, Krillin detects Vegeta. He tells Gohan to go on while he delays Vegeta. Gohan goes into Guru's house and is powered up. Vegeta flies past Krillin and arrives at Guru's door. He senses Gohan's new power and assumes it is Goku. He is surprised when he finds that it is Gohan that holds this power. Nail, a Namekian warrior, emerges and says that the Namekian dragon will grant them 3 wishes. Then Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan all sense a 5 great powers coming to Namek. Vegeta says it must be the Ginyu Force. They make an uneasy allience with Vegeta. They fly to where Krillin and Gohan had hidden the Dragonball with Bulma. They take the Dragonball and start flying to where Vegeta had his 6 Dragonballs. The Ginyu Force gives Frieza new scouters, and Frieza tells the them to kill Gohan and Krillin but bring Vegeta back alive. When Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta get there, Gohan and Krillin start doubting Vegeta. This gives the Ginyu Force enough time to stop them from calling the dragon. They had 5 Dragonballs behind them, 1 with Vegeta, and 1 with Krillin. Vegeta tries to throw his ball away, but it is caught by Burter who is known as the fastest creature in the universe. Vegeta tells Krillin to destroy his ball, but Guldo, the smallest and weakest of the Ginyu Force, freezes time and grabs it. Now the Ginyu Force has all 7 Dragonballs. Captain Ginyu takes the 7 Dragonballs to Frieza while the other 4 members of the Ginyu Force play rock, paper, scissors for who would fight Gohan and Krillin, and who would fight Vegeta. Recoome wins and decides he will fight Vegeta. Guldo starts fighting Gohan and Krillin. Gohan and Krillin seem to be beating Guldo. Guldo keeps escaping their attacks by freezing time. He pulls out all the stops and uses his ultimate move that summons a cloud that paralyzes your opponents. After toying with his paralyzed opponents, he gets a giant, pointy stick to throw at Krillin. It would have hit him, but Vegeta intervened and decapitates Guldo. Guldo still seems to be conscious with his head talking. Vegeta blasts Guldo's head, killing him. Recoome starts to fight Vegeta. Vegeta seems to have the upper hand, landing blow after blow. When Recoome gets hit into a giant rock, his armor is destroyed, but when Recoome comes out of it he seems unharmed. He then starts pulverizing Vegeta, almost killing him. Krillin tries to intervene, but Recoome beats him down too. Then Gohan starts to fight Recoome, but Recoome breaks his neck. Goku then arrives on planet Namek. He senses Frieza as the most powerful person on the planet, then Captain Ginyu as the 2nd most powerful. He then senses Krillin and Gohan and flies to the battlefield. When he lands, he gives Gohan a Sensu Bean. He then gives one to Krillin and Vegeta. He uses a mind reading technique to read Krillin's mind to discover what had happened on Namek up to that point. Burter and Jeice use their scouters to detect Goku's power level. Their scouters tell them that Goku's power level is 5,000. Recoome thinks this is going to be too easy. Goku raises his power and speed for just a semi second, so the scouters don't even detect it. He knocks out Recoome with 1 hit. He then starts to fight Burter and Jeice at the same time, but they can't even touch Goku. Goku defeats Burter. Vegeta tells him how Frieza turned him into what he was, a ruthless warrior without mercy. Frieza killed all the Saiyans. Frieza then kills Vegeta. Frieza starts firing energy blasts at Goku, and Goku deflects them all with 1 finger. Piccolo notices that he, Krillin, and Gohan are distracting Goku, so he tells them to fly away. The epic battle begins. Somewhere else on the planet, Bulma meets a Namekian frog. She builds a translator for the frog, and the frog is actually Captain Ginyu. Captain Ginyu switches bodies with Bulma. He then flies to the battle on Bulma's air bike. Bulma the frog tags along for the ride. Goku seems just as powerful as Frieza. Frieza then reveals that he had only been fighting with 1% of his true power. He powers up to 50%, and then he starts destroying Goku. Captain Ginyu arrives at the battlefield and actually starts cheering for Frieza, even though he wants to keep his identity a secret. Bulma the frog tries to communicate with Gohan, but Gohan thinks that the frog is still Captain Ginyu. Soon enough, Captain Ginyu acts weird enough that Gohan assumes that he switched bodies with Bulma. Ginyu tries switching bodies with Piccolo, but fails when Gohan throws Bulma into the blast, and Bulma is returned to normal. Goku is inspired by visions, but Frieza can even stand up to a Kaioken 20x Kamehameha Wave without much damage. Goku realizes that the only way to beat Frieza is with a Spirit Bomb. The Ginyu Force minus Captain Ginyu show up on King Kai's planet. Chiaotzu fights Guldo, Yamcha fights Recoome, and Tien fights Burter and Jeice. The Ginyu Force is beaten down to hell. Frieza thinks Goku is just trying to stall when he starts charging for his Spirit Bomb, so he humors Goku and lets him just stand there, without knowing that Goku was gathering energy for his greatest attack. Soon, Frieza gets tired of waiting on Goku, so he attacks him. Piccolo gets energy from Krillin and Gohan and uses the energy for sneaking up on Frieza. He surprises Frieza and sends him flying. Goku continues on gathering energy from Namek and all the surrounding planets. Soon Goku has enough energy for the Spirit Bomb, and he throws it at Frieza. It hits him, and he is thought to be dead. Goku and the others have a minor celebration. Frieza then comes out of the oceans of Namek. He fires a Death Beam at Goku and Piccolo jumps in the way. Frieza then kills Krillin. Goku is so enraged he transforms into a Super Saiyan. Goku seems rejuvenated. He tells Gohan to leave with Piccolo. The fight continues. Frieza's attacks are useless against the Super Saiyan. Soon he gets desperate and tells Goku that the stronger fighter does not always win, but sometimes the smartest. Frieza then fires a giant energy ball at Namek. He tells Goku that the planet will blow up in 5 minutes. Frieza then powers up to 100%. King Kai tells Goku that he should kill Frieza now, but Goku says that if he beats Frieza at his best, Frieza would know that he is not the strongest in the universe and stop hurting people. Gohan drops off Piccolo at the ship and goes to find Bulma. Kami contacts King Kai telling him that Mr. Popo has found 6 of the Dragonballs, and he is working on the 7th. King Kai starts forming a plan. When Mr. Popo found the 7th Dragonball, Kami contacted King Kai. King Kai tells him to have Mr. Popo wish that all the people killed by Frieza or his henchmen to be brought back to life. Shenron grants this wish. Then King Kai contacts Guru and tells him to have a Namekain go find Porunga and ask him to teleport everybody on Namek besides Frieza to Earth. Goku enters the conversation and says that he wants to stay with Frieza. Guru contacts Dende and tells him to go tell Porunga the wish. Goku is beaten down by 1 of Frieza's attacks. Gohan shows up and starts fighting Frieza to give his father time to recover. Goku soon recovers and tells Gohan to take Piccolo and Bulma and leave in the ship. Frieza and Goku notice that Porunga is back. Frieza races to Porunga with Goku trying to stop him. Dende starts telling Porunga to teleport everyone on Namek, besides Frieza and Goku, to Earth. Frieza arrives and yells to Porunga to make him immortal. Porunga ignores Frieza because his wish was not in Namekian. Dende finishes his wish and everybody besides Frieza and Goku are teleported to Earth. The Dragonballs fly into space, heading to Earth. Now Goku and Frieza are the only ones on the dying planet. The fight continues, but soon enough Goku says it isn't worth fighting Frieza anymore. He says that his body is getting weaker by the power straining his body. Frieza is angered and continues the fight. Frieza soon fires his own version of the Destructo Disk that follows Goku. When Goku dodges it with ease, Frieza fires a second one. On Earth, Guru knows that his time is almost up. The Namekian Dragonballs arrive on Earth. Guru makes the Namekian Moori the new leader of the Namekians and gives him the life connection to the Dragonballs. Guru then disappears. Goku tricks Frieza into driving the disks through himself. Frieza is now about to die and asks Goku for mercy. Goku generously gives him some energy. Goku starts flying away when Frieza uses the energy Goku gave him to blast Goku. Goku counters with an even bigger energy blast that is thought to kill Frieza. Goku flies to Frieza's ship because his ship is too far away. Goku tries to make the ship work, but it is too damaged. The planet explodes, and Goku is thought to be dead.
Garlic Jr. Saga
When Kami was away from the lookoout, Garlic Jr. attacks Mr. Popo. He shrinks Mr. Popo and puts him in a glass jar. Kami arrives and Garlic Jr. also imprisons him. Garlic finds his father's Black Water Mist. He realeases it. When somebody comes into contact with the Black Water Mist, they are controlled by the evil inside of themselves. Krillin arrives at the lake where Gohan is swimming. Krillin asks if he wants to go to Master Roshi's house with his new girlfriend Maron. He knows his mom will say no, so he tells Krillin he will ask her anyway. When he does ask, Chi-Chi refuses and tells Gohan to go study. Gohan starts studying but is interupted by his dragon Iccarus. He decides to fly to Master Roshi's house on Iccarus. Krillin and Maron are already at Master Roshi's house. Chi-Chi arrives before Gohan. Krillin and Maron decide to go snorkeling. The Black Water Mist arrives and affects Master Roshi, Bulma, Yamcha, and Chi-Chi. Gohan arrives, and Maron and Krillin emerge from the ocean. Chi-Chi starts attacking Gohan. Bulma, Yamcha, and Master Roshi emerge from the house. Krillin and Gohan try to figure out what happened but can not. Piccolo arrives and starts to fight Yamcha. Piccolo tells Gohan and Krillin to go to Kami's Lookout and retrieve the Sacred Water, the only cure to the Black Water Mist's power. Krillin also brings Maron. Then Garlic Jr.'s 4 minions, the Spice Boys, arrive. They try to pursuade Piccolo to join their side. When he refuses, Yamcha bites Piccolo. Piccolo hits him off, but Bulma and Master Roshi also bite him. Yamcha also bites him again. The leader of the Spice Boys, Spice, announces that if you are bit by somebody that has been affected by the Black Water Mist, you are affected also. Piccolo stands up with an evil look in his eye. Krillin and Gohan arrive at Korin's Tower. They leave Maron with Korin and Yajiroby. They both try to impress her. Krillin and Gohan continue on their journey to Kami's Lookout. They arrive and are met by the Spice Boys and Piccolo. Salt starts fighting Gohan. Soon Piccolo is let loose. He starts fighting Gohan. Krillin tries to save Kami and Mr. Popo by sneaking up on Garlic Jr. He is stopped by a force field. Soon enough, Piccolo bites Krillin. Gohan is no match for his 2 friends. The battle seems grim. Garlic Jr. decides he wants to finish him off. He stops Piccolo. Piccolo quickly grabs the bottles holding Kami and Mr. Popo and throws them to Krillin. Krillin breaks the bottles and Kami and Mr. Popo are released. Piccolo reveals that he had only been acting to be under the control of the Black Water Mist, and he told Krillin to do the same when he bit him. They grab the Sacred Water. The Sacred Water will only reverse the effects of the Black Water Mist within a 24 hour period. The only way to spread the Sacred Water in time is to take it to the 7 air currents which are located at the bottom of the lookout. Kami and Mr. Popo set out to the 7 air currents while Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan fight off Garlic Jr. and 2 of the Spice Boys. Garlic Jr. reveals how he escaped his prison, the Dead Zone. He used the power of the Makyo Star to break out. Garlic Jr., Spice, and Vinegar pump up their bodies with the Makyo Star's power. Kami is met by the earth's former guardian. When the guardian refuses to let Kami and Mr. Popo pass, they run past him. The guardian follows them. Soon, they run into other past guardians. They start draining Kami's life force. Kami tells Mr. Popo to finish the jouney to the 7 air currents. Mr. Popo is too scared. Piccolo is holding his own aghainst Garlic Jr., but with the guardians draining Kami's life force, Piccolo is also being drained. Gohan starts fighting Garlic Jr. The guardians decide to let Kami use the Sacred Water. They deliver it and the people of Earth stop being affected by the Black Water Mist. The guardians send them back to the top of the lookout. With the Sacred Water curing the planet, Garlic Jr.'s plans are ruined. He opens up the Dead Zone. It begins to swallow up the lookout. Gohan is able to generate a force field for himself, Krillin, and Piccolo. Kami and Mr. Popo hold onto a heavy column. Piccolo tells Gohan to blow up the Makyo Star. Gohan is too worried about his friends' safety to break the forcefield. Piccolo and Krillin jump out of the force field so Gohan would blow up the Makyo Star. Gohan destroys it. Garlic Jr. becomes weak and is sucked into the Dead Zone and the portal closes. Peace is brought back to Earth. Krillin and Maron go shopping. When Maron looks at a wedding dress, he thinks about marrying her. He decides to break up with her. When he does this, he regrets it.
Trunks Saga
Chi-Chi gets Gohan a tutor, Mr. Shu. He is very harsh. He gets Gohan angry by making fun of his father. Gohan is about to pound Mr. Shu when Chi-Chi walks in. She chases him out of the house and off the property. Gohan awaits Goku's return. Goku isn't the only one heading to Earth, however. Mecha-Freiza is heading to Earth with his father, King Cold. Vegeta arrives and Bulma takes him to her house so he can take a shower. The Z-fighters sense the large powers and meet up to fight Frieza. Bulma has Yamcha bring her as well. Frieza lands on Earth. He is met by a mysterious boy with purple hair. 1 of King Cold's minions use a scouter and detect he has a power of 5. The boy then turns into a Super Saiyan. Frieza uses his most powerful moves against the boy, but he dodges and deflects them with minimum effort. He then takes out his sword and slices Frieza to pieces. King Cold asks to see the boy's sword. He gives it to him. King Cold points the sword at the boy. The boy grabs the sword and pulls it out of King Cold's hands. He then blasts King Cold, killing him. The boy powers down. The others fly over (Bulma is carried by Yamcha) and meet the boy. He tells them that Goku will be arriving in about 2 hours. They go to the landing site and wait 2 hours. Goku arrives in a weird outfit. The boy asks Goku if he could talk to him alone. He asks Goku to turn into a Super Saiyan. He also turns into a Super Saiyan. He takes out his sword and starts swinging it at Goku. Goku blocks them all with his finger. The boy puts his sword away and he and Goku stop being Super Saiyans. The boy says his name is Trunks, and he is from 20 years from the future. He tells them that he is the son of Vegeta and Bulma. He also tells Goku that 2 killer androids will arrive on an island near South City. Everyone besides Gohan and Goku will die in the battle. Goku will die before the battle. He will die of a heart virus. Trunks gives him an antidote from the future. He leaves in his time machine. Piccolo reveals that he had overheard everything. He tells the others about the androids. They all decide to train for the next 3 years and meet up at the island near South City. Tien and Chiaotzu go together, Goku, Piccolo, and Gohan decide to train together, Yamcha decides to train alone, and Vegeta decides to train alone. Goku tells everyone how he survived Namek's explosion. The planet was about to blow up when he spotted a ship from the Ginyu Force. He jumped into it, typed in random coordinates, and hit the gas. He crashed landed on a planet with aliens. That is where he learned his new technique, Instant Transmission, which allows him to dissolve into light particles and move at the speed of light. Vegeta's training mission is to become a Super Saiyan. He trains in high gravity. One day, after training, Chi-Chi tells Goku that she wants him and Piccolo to go get drivers' licences. They both fail.
Android Saga
3 years pass, and the Z-fighters besides Vegeta assemble at the island near South city. Bulma also brings baby Trunks. Yajiroby brings Sensu Beans then tries to leave. His plane crashes and Gohan goes and fishes him out of the ocean. The fighters realize they can't sense the androids. They split up to find them. Yamcha finds them first. Android 20 sticks his hand through Yamcha's chest. Krillin arrives and takes Yamcha to Bulma while Goku, Tien, and Piccolo fly to another location to fight the androids. Yamcha is healed, and he and Krillin fly toward the others. When Goku and the others land, Goku turns into a Super Saiyan and fights Android 19. Goku seems to have the upper hand, but something is draining his strength. He fires a Kamehameha Wave at Android 19, but the android absorbs it through a device in his hands. He then is recharged and starts beating Goku. He pins Goku and starts absorbing his energy. Vegeta arrives and saves Goku. It is revealed that Goku has caught the heart virus that Trunks had predicted. Vegeta turns into a Super Saiyan and starts fighting Android 19 while Yamcha takes Goku to Goku's house to get the antidote. Vegeta thrashes Android 19. He even rips Android 19's arms off so he can't absorb energy. Vegeta destroys him besides his head. Android 20 realizes that he can't beat Vegeta. He flees and makes a plan to absorb energy of the other fighters before fighting Vegeta. The fighters split up to find the android. Android 20 attacks Piccolo and starts absorbing his energy. Piccolo calls Gohan telepathically. Gohan saves him, and Piccolo eats a Sensu Bean to restore the energy that Android 20 stole. Piccolo starts fighting the android. Trunks arrives from the future. He finds the head of Android 19 and realizes that these are not the androids that Trunks fights in the future. Bulma arrives on the scene and sees Android 20. The android shoots an energy beam at Bulma's ship which sends her and baby Trunks flying. Trunks flies in and saves them. Android 20 escapes thanks to the smokescreen caused by Bulma's ship exploding and plans to activate Android 17 and Android 18 back at his lab near North City. He has to escape on foot to avoid attention. Bulma tells everybody that Android 20 is Dr. Gero himself. Piccolo asks Trunks if these new androids absorb energy like Android 19 and Android 20. Trunks says they do not, because their energy never runs out. Vegeta plans to fight these new androids head on and flies toward North City. Trunks follows in pursuit to tell Vegeta that he can not fight these new androids head on. The other fighters besides Gohan fly to find Dr. Gero's lab. Gohan takes Bulma and Yajiroby to her house. Yamcha gets Goku to his house and Chi-Chi gives him some of the antidote. Krillin finds Dr. Gero. Dr. Gero escapes and is close to his laboratory. Dr. Gero gets to his laboratory to awaken Androids 17 and 18. Krillin powers up to tell the others that he had found the laboratory. The others arrive. Dr. Gero succeeds in awakening Androids 17 and 18. Soon after he is awakened, 17 destroys the controller that is used to shut them down. 17 and 18 plan to activate Android 16. Dr. Gero tells them not to because his programming was not complete. Android 17 kills Dr. Gero. Vegeta blasts the doors to Gero's lab down. The 2 androids awaken Android 16. Android 18 starts fighting Vegeta. Vegeta fights with everything he has, but he can not defeat Android 18. Trunks tries to help him, but he is denied by Android 17. Piccolo and Tien also try to help with the same result. Right before the 3 androids leave, Android 18 kisses Krillin, the only fighter there that did not try to interfere. The 3 androids leave to find Goku's house. Android 17 says it would be more fun to find a car and drive to Goku's house. Piccolo heads up to Kami's lookout to fuse with Kami to gain the strength that they once had when they were one. Kami says he would like things to play out more before he makes his decision. Trunks and Krillin fly to Goku's house to take him somewhere else. Trunks, Gohan, Chi-Chi, Yamcha, and Goku get on a plane to fly to Master Roshi's island. Bulma gets to her house and receives a phone call about a Capsule Corp vehicle. She calls the ship and tells them about it. Trunks and Gohan decide to check out the ship with Bulma.
Imperfect Cell Saga
Bulma, Trunks, and Gohan fly to the Capsule Corp vehicle. They find the vehicle, and Trunks recognizes it as his time machine. Trunks uses the last of its power to figure out that it had come 4 years ago. They also found some egg shells. Trunks capsulizes the time machine and they are about to leave when Gohan finds some shedded skin from an insect looking creature. Gohan and Trunks head over to Master Roshi's island. Gingertown's inhabitants are disappearing, leaving only their clothes. Kami senses the threat, and agrees to fuse with Piccolo, keeping Piccolo's body. Piccolo heads down to Gingertown. He is met there by an insect like creature. He is holding a man by the jacket. The creature uses his tail to absorb the man. The creature says that his name is Cell. Cell uses the Kamehameha Wave. Using the element of surprise, Cell sticks his tail into Piccolo's arm. He drains the energy out of it. Piccolo manages to free his arm, but it is limp and weak. He asks Cell where he came from. Cell says that he is an android created by Dr. Gero. He explains that he came here in a time machine he stole from Trunks in the future. His goal is to absorb Android 17 and Android 18 to achieve his perfect form. He is made out of the cell's of the strongest fighters on the earth. This includes Gohan, Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Tien, and even Frieza and King Cold. Piccolo had been using the time to gather energy so he can regenerate. He rips his arm off and a new one sprouts out. Then Krillin and Trunks arrive. Cell uses the Solar Flare to escape. Tien sees this when he arrives. Piccolo fills in the others on what Cell had told him. Cell goes on another feeding spree in Nickytown. Piccolo and Tien go off to find Cell, while Krillin and Trunks go to Dr. Gero's lab where Cell is being created. When they get there, they find the plans of Android 17. Taking the plans with them, Krillin and Trunks destroy Cell. Tien and Piccolo find Cell, but he escapes. Krillin starts heading back to Master Roshi's house while Trunks decides to go train with his dad, Vegeta, to surpass a Super Saiyan. Krillin runs into Cell on the way to Master Roshi's house. Cell is about to finish him when Tien and Piccolo arrive. Cell flees again. Goku finally awakens from his sleep. With the disease gone, he is ready to begin training once again. He declares he knows where you can get a year of training in a day. He asks Chi-Chi if Gohan can go with him, and she agrees. Goku uses instant transmission to talk to Trunks and Vegeta, telling them about the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Goku uses instant transmission again to get Gohan. Once they are at the lookout, Trunks and Vegeta enter the time chamber, for only 2 can enter at once. Androids 16, 17, and 18 arrive at Goku's house, but find that he isn't home. Android 16 senses the path Goku took, and starts taking the other androids to Master Roshi's island. When the androids arrive at the island, Piccolo is the one that meets them. They demand the location of Goku. When Piccolo refuses, he and Android 17 start fighting. Bulma has started to make a remote that can shut down Androids 17 and 18. Cell detects Piccolo's energy and heads towards the location of the battle. When Cell arrives on the battlefield, Piccolo and Android 17 work together so that he won't be absorbed. With all the people Cell has absorbed, he is stronger than Piccolo and Android 17 combined, and Cell easily dispatches Piccolo. Then Android 16 joins the fight, declaring that he is as strong as Cell. Android 16 starts fighting Cell, and it seems that 16 was telling the truth. He tells 17 and 18 to leave the battlefield to avoid Cell absorbing them. They wait, however, and Cell sneaks up on Android 17 and absorbs him. Cell transforms into his semi-perfect form. He now only needs Android 18 to achieve his perfect form. Android 16 tries to fight Cell, but is now no match for Cell. Tien tries to intervene, blasting Cell with many Tri-beam blasts. Cell is damaged by his attack, and he can't get close enough to Tien to stop him from firing any more blasts. Androids 16 and 18 escape. Soon, Tien runs out of energy and falls to the ground. Goku uses instant transmission to save Tien. He grabs Tien and senses that Piccolo is still alive. He grabs Piccolo and teleports back to the lookout. Vegeta and Trunks finally emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Androids 16 and 18 arrive at an island to hide from Cell. Bulma lands on the lookout and gives Goku, Gohan, Trunks, and Vegeta new Saiyan armor. Vegeta leaves to go defeat Cell, and Trunks follows him. Cell is so anxious to absorb Android 18 that he starts destroying islands to find them. Vegeta arrives before he destroys the last island that is the androids hiding place. During the fight, it is obvious that Vegeta is much stronger than Cell. Goku and Gohan enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in their new armor. Krillin meets Bulma and takes the remote that will shut down Android 18. Krillin gets to the island hideout of the androids and contemplates whether or not to shut her down. Cell tells Vegeta how he would be defeated with ease if he was in his perfect form. Android 16 hears this and tells Android 18 to leave in fear that Vegeta may let Cell go to absorb her. Krillin makes the decision to destroy the remote. Vegeta tells Cell he can find and absorb Android 18. Trunks fears what would happen if Cell absorbed Android 18 and intervenes. Cell tells Vegeta to get Trunks out of his way. Cell sees Android 18 and starts flying over to her at full speed. Trunks also spots them and tells them to run. Trunks tries to stop Cell, only to find himself being stopped by Vegeta. They begin fighting. Cell uses the Solar Flare which blinds everybody besides Krillin and Androids 16 and 18. Krillin tries to protect her, but he fails, and Cell absorbs Android 18.
Perfect Cell Saga
Everybody besides Vegeta looks on in fear as Cell transforms. Trunks and Krillin attack Cell, but Cell doesn't even move and he takes no damage. Cell kicks Krillin, knocking him out. In training at the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Gohan tells Goku that he doesn't want to be treated like his son and not get the full training. He thinks about how he has let people down in his life, and he transforms into a Super Saiyan. Vegeta demands the fight he was promised. Cell is clearly stronger now as he takes no damage from Vegeta's indirect and direct blows. Krillin can tell that Trunks is also not showing off all his power. Trunks tells Krillin that he can't show his father his true power. Vegeta knows he will soon lose to Cell, so he powers up for his ultimate move, the Final Flash. He challenges Cell to take the blast head on. It destroys his right arm and much of the right side of his torso. Cell reminds Vegeta that he has Piccolo's power of regeneration. Cell then knocks Vegeta out. He is about to kill Vegeta when he senses Trunks powering up. Trunks tries to divert Cell's attention so Krillin can get Vegeta out of the battle zone. They start fighting and it is revealed that Trunks is more powerful when it comes to brute strength, but Cell reveals that this new form of Trunks is incredibly slow. Trunks realizes he can not win. Cell decides not to kill him, but to give him and the other Z fighters 9 days to get stronger so he can fight them in a tournament. If Cell wins, he will blow up the earth.
Cell Games Saga
Trunks tells the other Z fighters besides Goku and Gohan about the Cell's tournament. Cell builds a stadium and goes to a television network studio and announces the Cell Games on worldwide television. Goku and Gohan emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber as Super Saiyans. Trunks brings Goku and Gohan up to speed about Cell and his tournament. They decide that during the 9 days before the Cell Games, Piccolo will go into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber first, then Vegeta, and finally Trunks. Goku decides he and Gohan will only train in the outside world. Goku then uses Instant Transmission to go confront Cell and size him up. Soon he transports back to the lookout and then flies down to Korin's Tower with Gohan. Goku asks if he was stronger than Cell, and Korin says that Cell is stronger, but Goku does not seem worried. Goku sets up his and Gohan's training schedule which includes 3 days of rest, 3 days of training, and then 3 more days of rest. The next day Gohan goes looking for a town to buy groceries for his mother, Chi-Chi. He sees a girl fall into a river, and he saves her. She introduces herself as Lime and runs away. Gohan finally finds a market that is open. When he arrives, 2 men are trying to take supplies for a shelter from Cell. Lime yells that Cell has come and the 2 men run towards the shelter. Gohan and Lime eventually head over to the shelter. She yells that Cell has come, and the owner of the shelter runs inside and locks everybody else out. When the 2 men from before figure out it is Lime, the owner storms out. Then, the shopkeeper comes. The shelter guards attack him, and he beats them with ease. The owner then calls out Mercenary Tao. When Mercenary Tao spots Gohan, he sees his resemblance to Goku as a child. He flies away in fear of Gohan. Gohan then blows up the shelter, saying if he could do that, so could Cell. Piccolo emerges from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and Vegeta begins his training. The royal military tries to destroy Cell, but they fail. Everybody is killed. Goku wants to bring back all the people Cell has killed. He uses Instant Transmission to teleport to King Kai's planet. King Kai locates the new planet Namek, and Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport to the planet. He asks the new elder if anybody would come with him to be the new guardian of Earth. Dende volunteers. Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport to King Kai's planet, then back to Earth. A man named Hercule Satan, the world martial arts champion, tells the world that he will be fighting Cell in the Cell Games. Once Dende arrives on Earth, he tells Goku it would take him about 100 days to make new Dragonballs. Goku tells him this would be too long. Dende then asks if they still had the old dragon model. Mr. Popo brings it out and gives it to Dende. Dende brings the model to life and the Dragonballs are reactivated. Dende also makes the new Shenron able to grant 2 wishes. Goku then sets out to find the 7 Dragonballs. Goku finds 5 Dragonballs with ease thanks to the dragon radar. He then uses the radar to find the last 2 Dragonballs inside a fortress. He finds a man buying the Dragonballs from Mercenary Tao. Mercenary Tao makes a deal with Goku. Goku has to solve 3 puzzle rings before dawn. If he can do it, the 2 Dragonballs are his, if he fails, Tao gets the 5 Dragonballs in Goku's possession. Tao leaves Goku alone so he can solve the puzzle rings, and run away carrying Goku's Dragonballs. Goku solves the puzzle rings and uses Instant Transmission to teleport to Mercenary Tao. He then receives all 7 Dragonballs from Tao. Goku now has all the Dragonballs, and the Cell Games are about to begin. All the Z fighters arrive at the Cell Games' stadium. Mr. Satan also arrives, and is about to step into the ring when 2 of his students arrive and say they want to fight Cell first. Both students are defeated without Cell even moving. Mr. Satan steps into the ring and is knocked out of the ring by 1 hit from Cell. Goku then steps into the ring. During the fight, Cell uses many of Goku's friends' techniques. After awhile, Cell is tired of the rules he placed for the tournament. He destroys the ring, and now it is a fight to the death. Goku makes a Kamehameha Wave so powerful that it could destroy the earth. Cell knows Goku would not destroy the earth, so he does not defend itself. Goku then uses Instant Transmission and blasts Cell with the Kamehameha Wave, destroying Cell's upper body. Goku seems to have won, but Cell regenerates. As the battle continues, Goku figures out that he can not win. Goku forfeits, then names Cell's next opponent, Gohan. Goku is so confident that Gohan can beat Cell, he throws Cell a Sensu Bean. Cell eats it, and grows more powerful than ever thanks to the Saiyan genetics in his body. They start fighting, and it seems clear that Cell is stronger than Gohan, but Gohan seems to be able to take everything that Cell through at him. Gohan tells Cell the reason that Goku had selected him as Cell's next opponent. He knew that if Gohan got too angry, his power would increase dramatically, like when he fought Raditz and Frieza. Cell takes this as an excuse to get Gohan really angry. He starts beating on Gohan's body even more, trying to get him angry. Android 16 jumps into the fight and grabs Cell, saying that he is going to self-destruct. He figures out he can not because Bulma took out the explosive when she was repairing him before the Cell Games. After Cell hears this from Krillin, Cell pretty much destroys 16 besides his head. Cell then decides to make Gohan angry by attacking his friends and family. Cell has 7 Cell Jr.s come out of his tail. They start fighting the other 7 fighters that were present at the Cell Games. Trunks and Vegeta are the only ones that held their own against the Cell Jr.s. Goku was already weakened from his fight with Cell, so he did not fair so well. Gohan gets very, very angry when Cell tells the Cell Jr.s that they can kill them. The head of 16 asks Mr. Satan to throw his head to Gohan. Mr. Satan does this, and with his dying words, 16 tells Gohan to embrace the anger and unlock his true power. Cell crushes the head of 16, and Gohan unlocks a new level of power, the Super Saiyan 2 level. Some of the Z-fighters try to eat Sensu Beans, but Cell grabs the bag away from them. Gohan grabs it back. With this new power, Gohan kills all 7 of the Cell Jr.s with minimum effort. He gives Trunks the bag of Sensu Beans. He then turns his attention to Cell. It is clear from the beginning that Gohan is far superior in the fight. Cell decides he must give his best and powers up to his maximum. Cell becomes desperate and fires a masive Kamehameha Wave, hoping to destroy the earth. Gohan counters by firing an even bigger Kamehameha Wave than Cell. It absorbs Cell's Kamehameha Wave hits Cell all that power. It severely damages Cell, destroying much of his body. Goku tells Gohan to finish Cell off, but Gohan says he wants to make Cell suffer. Cell regenerates, and he decides to power up to an exteme level, making him big and bulky. He makes the same mistake that Trunks did. By making himself big and bulky, he made himself much slower. Gohan then deals a severe blow to Cell. So severe, in fact, that it made him regurgitate Android 18. Cell then reverts to his semi-perfect form. Goku demands that Gohan finish the fight. Cell then realizes that he can't win, so he starts inflating himself to blow up the earth. If a blow hits Cell, he would blow up even sooner. Gohan realizes that his arrogance would cost him his life and the planet. Goku makes the ultimate sacrifice. He uses Instant Transmission to teleport Cell and himself to King Kai's planet. The planet is destroyed, killing Goku, King Kai, Gregory, and Bubbles. 1 of Cell's cells survives the explosion, and Cell regenerates from that 1 cell. He also is regenerated in his perfect form with some powers that he somehow absorbed from Goku like the Instant Transmission. Cell teleports to Earth, more powerful than ever thanks to the Saiyan genes in his body. He kills Trunks with a single blast. Vegeta becomes furious at the death of his son and attacks Cell. Cell tosses Vegeta aside with ease. Cell prepares to finish Vegeta off, when Gohan jumps in the way of the blast. Both survive, but Gohan is severely damaged and loses the use of 1 of his arms. Cell starts powering up for an ultimate Kamehameha Wave to destroy Gohan and the earth. Goku talks to Gohan through telepathy via King Kai. He gives Gohan new confidence, and Gohan powers up for the biggest Kamehameha Wave that he can muster. They release the waves, and Gohan and Cell try to oveerpower the other with their Kamehameha Waves. Cell's wave takes some ground with its power. Seeing that Gohan might lose, Piccolo flies behind Cell and starts blasting him. Tien, Yamcha, and Krillin join Piccolo to help weaken Cell. It still seems like Cell is going to win. Vegeta jumps back in and fires a gigantic energy beam at Cell. This beam is enough distraction to Cell that Gohan is able to overpower Cell. Cell is finally killed by the Kamehameha Wave. The Z-fighters fly up to the lookout to summon Shenron. Even though this dragon can grant 2 wishes, it can't bring back Goku because he had already been brought back with the Dragonballs. The others think they should contact the other Namekains to summon Porunga and bring Goku back to life, but Goku contacts them through telepathy, telling them he wants to stay dead. They ask the dragon to bring back everybody who Cell killed that can be brought back to life. Krillin asks Shenron if he can turn Androids 17 and 18 into humans, but Shenron says he can't. Krillin then wishes that the explosives be taken out of Android 18's body. Android 18 is watching behind a column. After the wish is granted, she tells Krillin that it would take more than that to make her love him and flies away. After everybody leaves the Cell Games' stadium, Mr. Satan claims that he killed Cell. Nobody could prove that he didn't and none of the Z-fighters took the credit, so Mr. Satan became known as the hero of the world. Trunks returns to the future with his time machine to help correct his timeline. Shortly after he arrives in his time, Trunks kills Androids 17 and 18. A few years later, Cell, in his imperfect form, is unleashed. He can't find Androids 17 and 18 so he plans to steal Trunks's time machine. Trunks kills Cell as a Super Saiyan. The threat of Cell is over once and for all. In the present, Goku decides for King Kai, Bubbles, Gregory, and himself to take a "road trip" through Otherworld.
The Otherworld Tournament Saga
Goku is pushing King Kai through Snake Way because Goku wants to meet and train with the Grand Kai. King Kai tells Goku that the universe is divided into 4 quadrants. There is a kai for each quadrant. King Kai says that he is the overseer of the northern quadrant. The Grand Kai oversees the 4 kais. When Goku and King Kai get to the Grand Kai's planet, they run into West Kai and 1 of his fighters, Pikkon. West Kai finds it very humorous that King Kai has died. While they are talking/arguing, the Grand Kai appears. He tells Pikkon to go to Hell because Cell has been stirring up trouble. Goku feals responsible so he goes with Pikkon. When they get down there, they see that Cell, Frieza, King Cold, Guldo, Recoome, Burter, and Jeice are causing chaos. Goku takes care of the 4 members of the Ginyu Force while Pikkon takes out Frieza, King Cold, and Cell. When they get back to the Grand Kai's planet, West Kai invited South Kai and East Kai to the planet to "celebrate" King Kai's death. West Kai has the idea to have an Otherworld Tournament. The winner would get a private lesson from the Grand Kai which usually you would have to train 1,000 years for. It is approved by the Grand Kai with him as the referee. Goku faces many opponents, including an insect like creature and a aquatic creature. Goku faces Pikkon in the finals. They first test each other's fighting techniques, but when they really got started, Pikkon took off his weighted clothing and Goku turned into a Super Saiyan. Pikkon uses a powerful move known as the Thunder Flash Attack. This move is used twice successfully. During the fight, Goku and Pikkon touch an invisible ceiling. Pikkon tries to use the Thunder Flash Attack again to finish off Goku when Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport behind Pikkon and fire a Kamehameha Wave to blast Pikkon out of the ring. Goku should have won, but the Grand Kai said that they both touched the ceiling at the same time. With the ceiling being the equivalent of the ground, they are both disqualified. Grand Kai says he will give both Goku and Pikkon a private lesson in 300 years.
The Great Saiyaman Saga
7 years after the Cell Games and the Otherworld Tournament, Gohan is now starting high school. He has slacked off in his training and worked to become a scholar. He is now going to start going to Gold Star High School in Satan City. He flies to the outskirts of the city on the Flying Nimbus. He then starts running at a normal pace compared to normal people. He decides to speed up a little to make sure he gets to class on time. While he is running, he sees a burglary at a bank. He turns into a Super Saiyan so he would not be recognized. He foils the robbery and changes back to normal. He is able to get about 15 meters away from the fighting area when a girl named Videl comes up to him and asks what happened. Gohan is able to get away with saying that he wasn't paying attention and darts away. Gohan is able to get to class, on time. Videl walks into the class, and the teacher excuses her because she is usually helping the police. Gohan hears in class about a guy named the Gold Fighter who foiled a bank robbery that morning. Gohan is able to get through the rest of the day, but he accidentally uses some of his power throughout the day, like when he was playing baseball and he gets hit in head without flinching, or when he caught a pop fly 20 feet in the air. Videl suspects Gohan as being the Gold Fighter. After school, he goes to Capsule Corporation to talk to Bulma. He asks her to make him a disguise that he can use. On his way home, he stops a speeding car. They ask him for his name, and after a minute of thinking, he says he is the Great Saiyaman. He finishes the journey home and shows his new costume to Goten, his little brother that Chi-Chi was pregnant with during the Cell Games. He saves many people, sometimes interfering with Videl's plans. One time she was fighting a group of terrorists and got into a bit of trouble. The Great Saiyaman goes to save her, and he takes out most of the gang. Videl takes out 1 of the biggest members of the gang and shows that she can take care of herself. Another day a baby dinosaur that is friends with Gohan and Goten is kidnapped and taken to the circus. Gohan, as the Great Saiyaman, takes the dinosaur back so that the parents will not attack the city. Videl thinks he is stealing the dinosaur, so she tries to stop him. Then the parents of the baby dinosaur arrive, and Videl realizes that he was telling the truth. Unfortunately for Gohan, Videl figures out that he is the Great Saiyaman. She tells him that she will not tell the press if he enters the World Martial Arts Tournament and he teaches her to fly.
World Tournament Saga
Gohan flies to Capsule Corporation to tell Bulma, Vegeta, and Trunks that he is competing in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Vegeta also says that he will enter. Then Goku contacts the group and tells them that he will be participating in the tournament as well because he can come back to Earth for 24 hours. Gohan then goes to tell Krillin. Krillin is at first hesitant to enter, but then 18 told him to enter to win the prize money. 18 also decides to enter. Their new daughter Marron is excited about watching her parents fight. Gohan also flies up to the lookout to tell Piccolo the news. He also decides to enter. Gohan then realizes that he will have to ask his mom if he can participate. At first, she refuses because he would have to miss a month of school to train, but Gohan tells her that he might win the prize money and that might be like getting a scholarship. She then agrees, and Goten agrees to be Gohan's training partner. They begin training the next day. During the training, Goten asks if he can do the Super Saiyan thing too, but Gohan tells him he is too young to become a Super Saiyan. He then transforms into a Super Saiyan, and Gohan is amazed that he became a Super Saiyan at age 7. Goten said it first happened when he was training with their mother. She told him never to do it again. Goten also says that Trunks can turn into a Super Saiyan too. Then they see Videl's plane and Gohan realizes that he has to start teaching her to fly. Goten wants to join the flying lessons too, for even he does not know how to fly yet. Goten picks up the technique with ease. Videl has a bit more trouble. Vegeta also starts training with Trunks for the tournament in artificial gravity. He tells Trunks that training at the high gravity was too much for a child. Trunks responds by turning into a Super Saiyan. Vegeta is amazed that Trunks has unlocked the transformation at such a young age. He asks if he was stronger than Goten, and Trunks says that he is by a little bit because he is a year older than Goten and Goten does not know not to fly yet. Videl finally gets the hang of flying after several days of practice. Gohan now starts training with Gohan everyday. A few days later, the tournament began. Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Yamcha, Bulma, Piccolo, Krillin, Android 18, Marron, and Chi-Chi fly together to the island in a plane where the tournament would be held. Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Vegeta agree that nobody should turn into a Super Saiyan during the tournament because they might be recognized from the Cell Games. They land and start looking for Goku. Goku finally arrives with Baba. Goten now meets his father for the first time. Trunks and Goten are forced to join the Junior Division which is for fighters 15 years old or younger. The regular tournament would have 16 participants with Mr. Satan already guaranteed a spot. They decide the other 15 spots with a punching machine. The harder the punch the bigger the number. The top 15 people are granted the other spots. Even though the Z-fighters are taking it easy, their numbers far surpass everyone else's. Vegeta does not take it easy, however, and destroys the machine. With everybody else including Gohan and Videl having to wait for a new machine, Gohan and Videl miss most of the Junior Division. Goten and Trunks beat everybody they fight, eventually meeting each other in the finals. In about the middle of the fight, Trunks locks Gohan in a strong strangle hold. Goten gets very desperate and turns into a Super Saiyan for a second to break the hold. Trunks gets angry because they agreed not to turn into Super Saiyans. Trunks tries to make a fool out of Goten by fighting without his left arm, but once Goten gets the advantage, Trunks starts using his left arm again and turns into a Super Saiyan. Trunks knocks Goten out of the ring. Goten accuses Trunks of cheating, but Trunks said that they both turned into Super Saiyans once, so they were even. When Goten still complains, Trunks says that Goten can have any 3 toys that he wants from Trunks. Goten is delighted, and the 2 make up. For winning the Junior Division, Trunks wins money and the chance to fight Mr. Satan. Mr. Satan sees that Trunks is much stronger than him, so he gets worried. He tries to trick Trunks into going easy on him, but Trunks ends up hitting Mr. Satan out of the ring. The crowd thinks that Mr. Satan lost on purpose, so they praise him even more. Now the Adult Division can begin. While waiting for the tournament to begin, Goku and the other Z-fighters meet 2 unusual looking people. 1 introduces himself as Shin and says that he is looking forward to looking fighting Goku. Trunks wants to enter the adult tournament. He tricks the fighter named Mighty Mask and convinces Goten to be the lower body. The matchups are made, and the fights are the following: Krillin vs. Pintar, Piccolo (as Ma Junior) vs. Shin, Videl vs. Spopovich, Gohan (as the Great Saiyaman) vs. Kibito (the companion of Shen), Hercule Satan vs. Android 18, Goku vs. Vegeta, Mighty Mask vs. Killa, and Jewel vs. Yamu. Krillin easily defeats Pintar. Piccolo gets in the ring to fight Shen, but then becomes paralyzed with fear. He has an idea about who Shin really is. He forfeits the match. Videl and Spopovich enter the ring, and Videl seems to have the advantage. Spopovich just does not seem to be hurt. Soon, Spopovich has the upper hand, so Videl gives him a ferocious kick to the head, which turns his head 180°. He seems dead, so they say they are going to disqualify Videl, but then Spopovich gets up and corrects his head. Backstage, Piccolo asks Shin who he really is, and he says that he is the Supreme Kai. The Supreme Kai tells Piccolo to keep it a secret. Piccolo can't believe his ears. He knew about the 4 kais of the 4 quadrents and the Grand Kai above them, but he only could guess that there was somebody above the Grand Kai. Spopovich starts destroying Videl. Soon enough, Gohan says he has seen enough, and jumps out to save her so fast that his headband comes off, and his identity is revealed. Before he can get there, Yamu, Spopovich's partner, tells him not to kill her and to just throw her out of the ring. He does this, and Videl is taken to a medical room. Goku uses Instant Transmission to go to Korin Tower to get some Sensu Beans. Goku takes a while to get them back to Gohan, and as soon as he returns, he asks the MC if he can run something to Videl, and he allows him to. Gohan runs to Videl and gives her a Sensu Bean. She starts to heal immediately. Gohan and Kibito get in the ring to fight. Before a single punch is thrown, Kibito asks Gohan to show him his Super Saiyan power. Gohan asks if he just wants to see a Super Saiyan's power, or the next level. Kibito can't believe there is a power level higher than a Super Saiyan, and Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan 2. The Supreme Kai makes the other Z-fighters promise that whatever happens to Gohan, that they must not interfere. As soon as Gohan is done powering up, Yamu and Spopovich jump out with a device and drain Gohan's power. They drain Gohan's power, returning him to normal, and fly away from the stadium. Videl runs out and sees this happen. The Supreme Kai invites the Z-fighters to follow, and he takes off after Yamu and Spopovich. Goku, Piccolo, Krillin, and Vegeta follow him. Kibito heals Gohan, making his power even greater than when he was drained of his power. Kibito, Gohan, and Videl fly away to catch up to the others. The Supreme Kai tells him that there once was a wizard named Bibidi who created a monster known as Majin Buu. The Supreme Kai killed Babidi, and Buu was sealed in a ball. They thought with Bibidi gone, nobody would be able to awaken Majin Buu, but they were wrong. Bibidi had a son named Babidi, who now knows how to open the ball. He just needs enough pure energy to awaken Buu. He plans to use Gohan's stolen energy to awaken him.
Babidi Saga
Videl tries to keep up with Kibito and Gohan, but her inexperience gets the better of her, and she decides to turn back. With Videl gone, Kibito and Gohan speed up and catch up to the others. They land and find that Babidi has a space ship that is in the middle of a wasteland. Babidi walks out of his ship with one of his minions. The Supreme Kai recognizes and says that he is Dabura, the demon king. After Yamu and Spopovich give the energy to Babidi, he disposes of them, permanently, by making them explode. Dabura senses the Z-fighters, and he flies over to them. He destroys Kabito. Then he spits on Krillin and Piccolo, and they are turned to stone. Dabura then returns to the spaceship, knowing that the others will follow. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and the Supreme Kai enter the ship. They meet Pui Pui on level 1. They would have to fight somebody on each level to access to next one, and all the energy they lose would be sent to Majin Buu. Vegeta decides to fight Pui Pui. Supreme Kai thinks that they need to team up to beat Pui Pui, but Vegeta easily beats Pui Pui without even turning into a Super Saiyan. Babidi uses his magical power to teleport them to a planet with 10x the gravity of Earth, hoping to give Pui Pui the advantage, but Vegeta has trained at 500x gravity, so he is completely unaffected. Vegeta kills him with ease. They move on to the next level. Goku fights this next opponent. A giant green monster named Yakon walks through the door. Babidi doesn't want to take any chances, so he teleports them to the Planet of Darkness. There, Yakon can turn invisible. Goku can still sense him, and he still beats his butt. Goku tells Yakon that even without being able to sense him, he would be able to see him. Goku turns into a Super Saiyan and emits light. Yakon is illuminated. Yakon eats the light created by Goku, and he is turned back to normal. Goku turns into a Super Saiyan and creates so much light that Yakon explodes. Babidi is mad that Yakon took all the light energy for himself so that none could go to Buu. They go to the next level, where Gohan will fight the next opponent. They wait for a while Babidi decides the next fighter. Dabura says that he would be the next opponent. He goes to focus his energy in a meditation room. Back at the World Martial Arts Tournament, there are 5 fighters left. The other 11 either lost or flew away. Mr. Satan suggests that they have a battle royal between the other 5 fighters. Trunks and Goten (as Mighty Mask) defeat 1 of the fighters and Android 18 defeats a second fighter. Now the remaining fighters are Mighty Mask, Mr. Satan, and 18. Mighty Mask and 18 decide to fight each other first so that the winner will only have to fight Mr. Satan. Mighty Mask seems to have the upper hand at first. Goten and Trunks change the head person twice. When 18 powers up, Goten and Trunks power up to Super Saiyans. 18 figures out that Mighty Mask is Goten and Trunks and dashes into the center of their outfit. The fabric rips, and the 2 young Super Saiyans are revealed. They are disqualified for not being 1 person. They fly away. Now it is just Hercule and Android 18. Dabura is ready to fight Gohan and steps out of the meditation room. 18 quickly puts Hercule into a headlock. She makes a deal with him. She will throw the match if he pays her double the prize money. Dabura and Gohan start fighting on a planet that is similar to Earth so that it would be a fair fight. Soon Gohan has to turn into a Super Saiyan. It is clear that Gohan has lost his edge after 7 years of peace and his lack of training. Soon, Dabura asks Babidi to take them back to the ship. When they are returned, Dabura goes back to Babidi to tell him some news. He tells Babidi that Vegeta might fall for his spell because he has an evil soul, unlike the others. Babidi loves this plan, and soon Vegeta is being attacked from the inside. Goten and Trunks find Videl and she tells them that their fathers and the others went to fight the wizard Babidi. Even though neither of them know what a wizard is, they are anxious to get there, so they fly there as Super Saiyans. Vegeta now has become ruthless and has gained an "M" on his forehead, the mark of Babidi. He is also transformed into a Super Saiyan 2. Babidi teleports them to the World Martial Arts Tournament. Babidi demands that Vegeta kill his friends, but Vegeta refuses, keeping control of his mind. He tells Babidi that he only wants to fight Goku. Vegeta tries to bait Goku into fighting him by blasting into the stands, killing many people. Goku is forced to agree to fight Vegeta. Goku tells Babidi he will fight Vegeta if they are taken to a place far away from people. The Supreme Kai and Gohan break the door to the next level of Babidi's ship. Goku gives Gohan 1 of the last 2 Sensu Beans he has. Gohan and the Supreme Kai go down. Goku powers up to the Super Saiyan 2 level. The fight starts, and the 2 fighters seem equally matched. Vegeta pins Goku to a rock with energy cuffs and tells him how disgraceful it was when he defeated Frieza as a Super Saiyan and when Gohan defeated Cell. Goku breaks free and continues the fight. Gohan and the Supreme Kai fly down all the way to Majin Buu's ball. There they are met by Dabura and Babidi. Vegeta tells Goku how he could never bridge the gap between their power levels, so he let Babidi take control of him so he can become ruthless again. He wanted to become like he was when they first met, an evil Saiyan without a care in the universe. Gohan and the Supreme Kai try to stop Babidi from freeing Buu, but the energy from Goku and Vegeta's battle has been gathered and is now able to awaken Buu. He has started to hatch.
Majin Buu Saga
Gohan tries to stop Buu from hatching by blasting the ball with a Kamehameha Wave, but it doesn't seem to do anything. The ball opens, but nothing is in it but pink smoke. They think Gohan may have killed Majin Buu with his Kamehameha Wave, but soon the smoke comes together. The smoke combinds to form Majin Buu. Majin Buu is a pink, fat, child-acting monster. Everbody but the Supreme Kai recognizes Buu. Goku and Vegeta sense the power of Majin Buu, but Vegeta doesn't want to stop Buu yet. Dabura starts insulting Buu because of his weak appearance and child-like attitude. Buu almost kills Dabura with a single blow. Goku feals the surge of power that was released from Buu, and convinces Vegeta to take down Buu before continueing their fight. Vegeta agrees, but when Goku lets down his guard, he knocks Goku out. Vegeta takes Goku's last Sensu Bean and eats it. He then starts flying over to Buu. Babidi orders Buu to kill Gohan and the Supreme Kai. Gohan and the Supreme Kai try to run away, but even with a head start, Buu catches them with ease and great speed. He puts Gohan out of commission with a single blow. The Supreme Kai tries to defend himself, but he is not match for Majin Buu. Buu is about to eat the Supreme Kai when Gohan flies in and punches Buu. Majin Buu blasts Gohan with a powerful energy blast that blows Gohan to a forest. Goten and Trunks finally arrive at the battlefield and find the turned to stone Krillin and Piccolo. Trunks accidentily breaks stone Piccolo. Buu is about to eat the Supreme Kai when Dabura throws a spear at Majin Buu. It impales Buu, but Buu just pulls it out like it is nothing. Then he regenerates. Dabura warns Babidi that Majin Buu will soon be out of control, that they should kill him together. Babidi doesn't believe him. Majin Buu now decides to eat Dabura. Majin Buu turns Dabura into a giant cookie. Buu eats the cookie in 1 bite. With Dabura gone, Krillin and the broken Piccolo turn back to normal. Trunks is about to admit what he did to Krillin when Piccolo comes up behind him. He tells him how he could regenerate becuase his head was still intact. Buu is about to eat the Supreme Kai when Vegeta appears and blows up Babidi's ship. Vegeta powers up and starts attacking Majin Buu. Buu seems unaffected by Vegeta's attacks. When Vegeta blows open a hole in the monster's body, Buu just regenerates and continues fighting. Buu rips off a piece of his stomach and throws it at Vegeta, wrapping around the Saiyan. Vegeta is now defenseless and Buu starts pounding him. Trunks can't watch his father's demise, so he turns into a Super Saiyan and flies in to help his dad. Goten follows right behind. Trunks pounds Buu away from his father, and he and Goten free Vegeta. Piccolo attacks Babidi taking out his lower body and one of his arms. Vegeta gets up and embraces his son for the first time. Then he knocks out Trunks. Goten asks why he would do that to his son, and Vegeta knocks him out too. Piccolo takes the children to safety. Buu is back on his feet, and is ready to kill Vegeta. Vegeta decides to make the ultimate sacrifice. He makes an explosion so big and so powerful, that Vegeta loses his life doing it. He plans to rip Buu into atoms so that he won't be able to regenerate. The last full-blooded Saiyan is now dead. Piccolo returns to the battlefield after handing off Goten and Trunks to Krillin. There is no sign of Vegeta and many, many tiny pieces of Majin Buu, but those tiny pieces are all that Majin Buu needs to regenerate. The pieces each become tiny Buus, then they combine to make about 5 or 6 medium sized Buus, and then they combine to make the original Majin Buu. Knowing he is outmatched, Piccolo retreats. Babidi gets Buu's attention and has Buu heal him. They fly away to destroy everything that they come across. Piccolo catches up with Krillin and he tells him all that happened and that they should go to the lookout to protect Goten and Trunks. The Supreme Kai recovers and he starts looking for Gohan. Bulma, Chi-Chi, Videl, Master Roshi, 18, Yamcha, and others fly to different places in one of Bulma's planes to find the Dragonballs. They eventually find all 7. Krillin and Piccolo arrive with Goten and Trunks. Goku finally regains conciousness from Vegeta's blow. He uses Instant Transmission to teleport to the lookout. Together he, Piccolo, Krillin, Dende, and Mr. Popo try to figure out a way to defeat Majin Buu. Goku suggests doing the Fusion Dance. The Fusion Dance is a dance that when 2 people with similar height and power do it in symatry, they become 1, super powerful entity. The only pair like this left with Vegeta gone is Goten and Trunks. The only problem is that it takes a while to learn how to do it correctly and Goku has less than a day left on Earth. Piccolo agrees to teach the boys the Fusion Dance after Goku leaves Earth. Bulma has gathered the Dragonballs and calls on the eternal dragon, Shenron, to grant the wish to revive all the the good and inocent people that died earlier that day. Vegeta is not revived because he has already been revived with the Dragonballs. Goku notices the sky going black and uses Instant Transmission to teleport to Capsule Corperation, but is too late to stop Bulma from asking Shenron to revive the people. Dende tells Goku through telepathy that they can call Shenron again in 4 months if they save the other wish. Goku tells Shenron to save the wish and the Dragonballs are scattered throughout the earth again. Goku takes everyone at Capsule Corp. besides Bulma's parents to the lookout. Bulma's parents would rather stay. Kibito awakens because of the wish to Shenron and flies off to find the Supreme Kai. Soon Kibito finds him and heals him. They both set out to find Gohan, and Kibito is about to heal him when the Supreme Kai tells him that they should take him to the kai planet. Even though Kibito thinks it is a crazy idea, he does it anyway. Goku breaks the news to the others that Vegeta sacrificed himself to stop Majin Buu, but even giving up his life, he couldn't destory Buu. He also tells them that Gohan didn't make it through the battle alive either. They are about to wake up Goten and Trunks when Babidi makes an announcment to the entire planet with his magic. He says that he and Majin Buu will terrorize the planet unless Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo are brought forward. Babidi has Buu turn everybody in a city into small candies, which he chows down at one time. Goten and Trunks finnally awaken. They find food and chow down. Soon they are found by Mr. Popo, who they run away from. Eventually they make their way to Goku. Goku tells them about Vegeta and Gohan's deaths. They start crying, but Goku tells them that there is no time for crying, that they need all the time that Goku has to learn the basics of the Fusion Dance. Kibito finally heals Gohan, and the Supreme Kai tells him that he will need to remove the Z-sword to defeat Majin Buu. Kibito is outraged that the Supreme Kai would even suggest Gohan being able to remove the Z-sword. He says that if even the kais couldn't remove the Z-sword, how could a Saiyan? The Supreme Kai insists that Gohan will be able remove the sword. Gohan tries to remove it, but he can't in his normal form, so he transforms into a Super Saiyan. Gohan removes the sword. Kibito is stuplified. Even Gohan is surprised how heavy the Z-sword. Goku starts teaching Goten and Trunks the Fusion Dance. Somebody uses telepethy with Babidi to tell him that Trunks lives at Capsule Corperation in West City. Babidi uses telepethy to whole planet again to tell Trunks that he knows where he lives and he is on his way to kill him. Goku tells Trunks to fly to Capsule Coperation to retrieve the dragon radar so they can find the Dragonballs again in 4 months, while he would go to Babidi and try to slow him down. Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan to fly to Capusle Corp. fast. Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport himself right infront of Babidi. When he gets there, he starts asking Buu why he should listen to Babidi. Babidi isn't as strong as Buu. Even though he considers the idea, Buu wants to kill Goku just as much as Babidi does. Babidi decides to show the world this battle to make an example of anybody who gets in the way of him and Majin Buu. Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan 2. Babidi tells him that Vegeta did the same thing and lost, so Goku decides to take it to the next level. First, he transforms back to normal. Then he transforms into a Super Saiyan, and then he transforms into a Super Saiyan 2. Then Goku gathers energy to transform into a Super Saiyan 3. In this form, his look is greatly changed. His hair grows all the way to his ankles, his eyes gain pupils, and his eyebrows dissapear. His power skyrockets so much that Gohan, Kibito, and the Supreme Kai can sense Goku's energy from the kai planet. He has even more power than Buu, but with Buu being able to regenerate, he would be hard to finish off, and Goku can not stay in the Super Saiyan 3 transformation level for long. Trunks finally arrives at Capsule Corp. and starts looking for the dragon radar with his grandma and grandpa. Bulma remembers that the dragon radar is in the plane from when they found the Dragonballs, so she calls Capsule Corp. with Videl's phone. Trunks finds the dragon radar and starts the journey back to the lookout. Goku senses that Trunks is leaving Capsule Corperation, so he decides to end the fight. He turns back to normal and tells Buu that 2 really strong fighters will fight him in 2 days. After that, Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport back to the lookout. Buu decides to take Goku's advice and he kills Babidi. Majin Buu is now free to go on a spree of destruction with no restraint. Trunks arrives back at the lookout with the dragon radar. They are about to start training again for the Fusion Dance when Baba shows up and tells Goku that transforming into a Super Saiyain 3 drained the time he had left on Earth so he only has 30 minutes left. Buu decides to build a house in the country, so he goes to a village and turns the people into building materials for his house. Trunks and Goten ask Goku to show them the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. Goku says he would on the condition that they work really hard to learn the Fusion Dance after he leaves for Other World. After he does this, Baba shows up to take him back to Other World. When he arrives back in Other World, he goes to King Yemma to see if Gohan had checked in, and King Yemma tells him he hadn't. Goku is thrilled because that means Gohan is alive, but he wonders where Gohan had been if he was not dead. He senses Gohan's energy, and he uses Instant Transmission to teleport to the planet of the kais. Buu meets a blind kid named Tommy. Buu tries to scare him, but since Tommy can't see, he is not scared of Buu. Buu heals his eyes so that he can scare Tommy, but Tommy is so grateful that he doesn't care what Buu lookslike. Buu tells Tommy to wait there while he gets him something. Buu flies into town and turns somebody into milk. Buu flies back and gives the milk person to Tommy, which he drinks. Buu leaves Tommy, enjoying friendship. Goku throws a big boulder at Gohan to see if the sword could slash it in half, which he does with ease. The Supreme Kai makes a big block of the strongest metal in the universe for Goku to throw to Gohan. Goku throws it, and Gohan tries to slash it, but instead of making a clean slice, the Z-sword is broken. Out of the broken sword comes the Elder Kai, the Supreme Kai's ancestor by 15 generations, imprisoned inside the Z-sword. The Elder Kai makes a deal with Goku, a date with Bulma in exchange for unlocking Gohan's sleeping power. The Elder Kai starts dancing around Gohan, the start of the process that just the opening ceremony will take 5 hours. Goten and Trunks have finally mastered the Fusion Dance, and are ready to try it for real. The first time they do it, Trunks makes an error with his fingers, and the result is a fat version of the newest Saiyan hybrid, Gotenks. They try to make positives out of it, like how Majin Buu is fat, but Gotenks is slow, weak, and lazy. There is no way to reverse it without waiting out the 30 minutes, so they must wait the time out before they fuse again. The second time they try it, their fingers don't connect properly and a old, weak version of Gotenks is born. They wait out the 30 minutes and try again. This time they do it in perfect symmetry correctly, and a young, powerful version of Gotenks is born. This Gotenks is very cocky, and he decides to fight Majin Buu right then. He flies off before Piccolo can stop him. Gotenks gets in some good shots, but when Buu powers up, he is no match for the fat, pink beast. Soon an army shows up, and Buu destroys everyone while Gotenks is forced to watch, helpless. Soon the fusion wears off and Bulma and Chi-Chi starts treating their wounds. The Elder Kai has finished the 5 hour opening ritual and starts the 20 hour main ceremony. Hercule goes to Buu's house to defeat him. Hercule tries to kill Buu with explosives in candy and video games but nothing seems to affect Majin Buu. He eventually becomes Buu's friend. Goten and Trunks do the Fusion Dance as Super Saiyans to make the Super Saiyan Gotenks. This version of Gotenks has an even bigger ego. Gotenks flies around the earth at full speed about 8 times and then lies down to take a nap. Piccolo eventually tracks him down and tells him he should train, but Gotenks says he is going to go fight Majin Buu. Gotenks flies to Buu's house and calls out to Buu, but then the fusion wears off, and Gotenks get scared and fly back to the lookout. Buu goes out to murder more people and he finds a puppy. He heals the dog and tries to scare it, but the dog is grateful and becomes his friend. The puppy goes home with Buu and Buu names him Bee. Hercule tells Buu that killing is bad, so Buu says that he won't kill people anymore. When Buu and Bee are playing fetch, 2 crazed gunman shoot Bee.
Fusion Saga
Hercule goes up and pounds the men, and Buu heals the dog. While Hercule is making dinner, one of the gunmen sneaks into the house and shoots him. When Buu sees this, steam starts coming out of his head. He heals Mr. Satan and instructs him to take Bee and leave. Hercule is very hesitant in this, wanting to help Buu, but eventually Hercule leaves with Bee. Soon so much steam has come out of Buu, and it is gathering together. Then a body is formed out of the steam, an evil version of Buu that the original Buu calls "bad Buu". The evil Buu goes up to the gunman and shoots him with an energy blast, destroying him. The battle of the Buus begins, and soon it is clear that the evil Buu has the advantage. The original Buu shoots a Chocolate Beam at the evil Buu, but the evil Buu hits the beam right back at the good Buu, turning him to chocolate. The evil Buu eats the chocolate version of the good Buu, absorbing him. The evil Buu transforms into Super Buu. Super Buu destroys the other gunman and is about to kill another bystander when he realizes that the bystander is Hercule. Super Buu remembers their friendship and spares Mr. Satan. With the new ability of detecting energy levels, he flies to the lookout. When he arrives he demands that he fight the strong fighter he was promised. Piccolo knows that the boys would not be ready to fight Buu yet, so he tells Buu to spend a day killing the rest of the people on Earth. Super Buu starts pacing the lookout, and Piccolo tells Krillin to take the boys to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Buu stops pacing and starts shooting energy blasts to kill almost everybody else on the earth. There are 4 survivors that are not on the lookout. Tien, Chiaotzu, Hercule, and Bee survive. Piccolo asks him to wait 1 hour. Buu agrees because Videl, the daughter of Hercule, wants him to wait out the hour. Chi-Chi is mad at Buu because she thinks that Buu killed Gohan. She goes up and slaps Buu across the face. In retaliation, Buu turns her into an egg and crushes her. Goten sees this and is angered. He vows to train extra hard to defeat him. Goten and Trunks enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Buu only ends up waiting for 30 minutes before losing his patience and demands that Piccolo take him to the strong fighter. Piccolo takes a very long route to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to buy Goten and Trunks extra time. Piccolo and Buu enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and Goten and Trunks fuse together. The fight between Buu and Gotenks starts, and Gotenks uses some of his original moves. Soon Gotenks turns into a Super Saiyan. Gotenks uses one of his most powerful attacks, the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack. He spits out a ghost version of himself. Then he spits out 9 more. He sends 9 of them to attack Buu, reducing him to a puddle of his former self, and Gotenks has the last ghost makes Buu blow up. Piccolo and Gotenks try to destroy all the pieces, but the pieces give off pink smoke. This is all Buu needs to regenerate. After using a few moves, Gotenks decides to act like he is out of ideas and power. Piccolo takes him seriously and he destroys the entrance to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, imprisoning them forever. Buu gets super upset because he won't be able to eat candy, and he screams so loud that he opens a portal to the outside world. The hole starts closing, and Buu has to stretch himself super thin to fit into the hole. Soon the hole closes and Gotenks and Piccolo are the only ones trapped. Buu eats everybody besides Dende on the lookout. Dende is pushed off the lookout by Mr. Popo so the Dragonballs would still be active. Gotenks and Piccolo try to open a portal, but with no success. They are even trapped in long enough for Gotenks to defuse and refuse. Gotenks turns into a Super Saiyan 3 and they are able to open a hole and escape like Buu did. Gotenks and Buu continue their fight, destroying the lookout. Soon Buu turns into a ball and starts whaling Gotenks. Gotenks imprisons Buu in a sphere of energy and starts playing volleyball with Piccolo with Buu as the ball. Buu seems to be dead, but soon there is an energy blast coming out of a crater. Gotenks soon starts to gain the upper hand, and he is about to finish Buu off when he turns back to his normal form. Buu has the upper hand now. The Elder Kai finally finishes the ritual with Gohan. Kibito and Gohan teleport to Earth. He has perfect timing, because Gotenks defuses. Gohan is easily beating Buu. Buu thinks the only way to destroy Gohan is to self-destruct. Gohan and the others escape the explosion. There is no sign of Buu, but Gohan thinks that Buu is still alive. They sense Dende's energy and they fly off to go find him, finding Hercule and Bee along the way. Buu regenerates and finds the group. Instead of fighting Gohan again, however, he decides to fight Gotenks. He baits Goten and Trunks to fuse, and it works, producing the Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks. Buu has some of his body come off to gain even more power. Soon the blobs grow enough so that they can envelop a person. They sneak up on Gotenks and Piccolo and envelop them. Buu has the blobs fly to him and the blobs cover his entire. body. Buu now has the power of Gotenks, the ferocity of Buu, and the wisdom of Piccolo. Buu and Gohan start fighting again, and this time Buu has the advantage. Buu now has the techniques of Piccolo and Gotenks, shown when he uses the Special Beam Cannon, the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, and the Galactic Donut. King Yemma decides to give Vegeta his body back so he can fight Buu. The Elder Kai decides to give his life to let Goku live again. Goku says his last words to the kai, then he jumps up with a halo on his head telling Goku to get going. The Elder Kai tells Goku that he should use fusion to defeat Buu. However he shouldn't use the fusion technique because he would have to get in the perfect position. The kai suggests using the Potarra Earings worn by the Supreme Kais and Kibito. The Supreme Kai did not know this, and he tries to do it with Kibito, each taking off one of their earrings. As soon as they both have one earing each, their bodies are pulled together to make Kibito Kai. Only after the fusion does the Elder Kai tell them that the fusion is permanent. In fact, he is the fusion of 2 people using the Potarra Earrings. Dende finds a moment and heals Gohan. Buu sees this and fires a blast at Dende. Tien uses a Tri-beam to knock it out of the air. He tries again when Goku arrives via Instant Transmission. He sends an energy disk at Buu that cuts off his legs and part of his head. Goku throws one of the Potarra Earring he got from the Elder Kai to Gohan, but he misses. The legs of Buu kick Tien and knock him out. Then the legs fly back to Buu and reattach to Buu. Goku, as a Super Saiyan 3, tries to keep Buu busy while Gohan finds the missing earing. Then Gotenks's fusion wears off, shown by Buu outfit changing from one worn by Gotenks to one worn by Piccolo. Gohan finds the earing, but Goku tells him not to put it on because Buu has lost 1/3 of his power because of the fusion wearing off. To compensate for this loss of power, Buu has the part of his head that was chopped off engulf Gohan like it did for Gotenks and Piccolo. Buu absorbs Gohan and gains more power than he had before. Buu gives Goku until the count of 10 to decide who he is going to fuse with. With Tien unconscious, that leaves Goku with the choices of Dende and Hercule. He is about to throw an earring to Hercule when he senses Vegeta's energy. He uses Instant Transmission to teleport to Vegeta to ask him to fuse. Vegeta refuses. Soon Buu arrives and the 2 fight by themselves. When Vegeta realizes they won't be able to win without fusing, Vegeta agrees to fuse. Only right before the fusion does Goku tell him it is permanent, but Vegeta continues with the fusion. Their bodies are brought together making Vegeto. The fighting begins again and Buu is losing again. He even uses the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack with a new twist, the ghosts using energy attacks such as the Special Beam Cannon and the Kamehameha Wave. Buu tells Vegeto that he has not fought with his true power yet, and Vegeto says the same. Buu powers up and Vegeto becomes a Super Saiyan. Krillin and Yamcha are on the Grand Kai's planet, training with King Kai. Buu tries entering Vegeto's body to control him, but Vegeto isolates him to a certain part of his body and starts beating him. Buu exits Vegeto's body. Buu finds an opportunity to turn Vegeto into a jawbreaker. Buu is about to eat the candy Vegeto when Vegeto starts talking and flying around. He tells Buu, "I am no ordinary piece of candy. I am a jawbreaker, the strongest piece of candy there is. Don't be a fool, Majin Buu. You can still surrender, it is not too late." Vegeto then starts beating Buu up as candy, even going into his mouth and out through his neck. Buu turns Vegeto back into a person. Vegeto gives Buu the until the count of 10 to do what he wanted before he was destroyed. Buu notices a piece of himself on the ground that was torn off during the battle. He has it grow and it sneaks up on Vegeto. The blob envelopes him and the blob is pulled towards Buu. This time, however, Buu is not instantly transformed. Vegeto is now inside Buu and is still alive and conscious because he put up an energy field during the absorption. He let it happen so he could free the others before he destroyed Buu. Once Vegeto puts down the energy field, Vegeta and Goku separate for some reason. Vegeta crushes his earring to make sure he will not fuse again, reasoning that once they free the others, Buu's power will decrease dramatically. They make their way to Buu's head, where they split up. They find what they think to be Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Piccolo. Goten and Trunks do the Fusion Dance and start to attack Vegeta. Gohan starts attacking Goku. Soon Piccolo joins the fight against Vegeta. Soon a wall is blown up and Goku and Vegeta find themselves fighting side by side again. They realize they must be thought versions of their friends and family. Buu feels hungry and goes to a bakery to eat pastries. This changes his thoughts and the thought versions of Gotenks, Gohan, and Piccolo are turned into pastries. Vegeta and Goku find the real Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Piccolo trapped in cocoons, unconscious, but alive. Vegeta and Goku cut the cocoons and Buu reverts back to his original form after absorbing the good Majin Buu. Goku and Vegeta also find the good Majin Buu in a giant cocoon. Before they try to free him, a thought version of Super Buu appears in his head. They blast Super Buu, but as soon as he is destroyed, another one shows up. Buu tries to absorb Goku and Vegeta.
Kid Buu Saga
This is a fight they can't win, so Vegeta starts to free the good Majin Buu. Super Buu says that if he frees the good Buu, "I won't be me anymore." Buu starts going insane, and Goku and Vegeta try to escape Buu's body. They escape Buu's body through one of the holes that Buu uses to let steam out of his head. As soon as they are free from Buu's body, the 6 heroes regain their normal size. First Buu gains a bunch of muscle all around his body. Soon the muscle goes back into his body and he shrinks into Kid Buu. The Elder Kai is confused about this transformation, thinking that he should have lost strength when the good Buu was freed, not gained it. The Supreme Kai explains how there were once 5 Supreme Kais. 4 ruled a quadrant of the universe and the 5th was their leader. He tells the Elder Kai that this kid version of Buu is the original monster created by Bibidi. Buu fought each of the Supreme Kais one at a time, killing the North Supreme Kai and the West Supreme Kai. Buu fights the South Supreme Kai, the strongest of the 4. Buu absorbs him, turning him into the muscular form that he turned into before the original monster. Then Buu fights the East Supreme Kai, or now, the Supreme Kai. He would have been killed if his leader, Dai Kaio, had not intervened. Buu absorbs Dai Kaio, turning him into the fat Buu. Buu absorbing the Supreme Kais added goodness and innocence. It also weakened him. Kid Buu wastes no time in destroying the earth. He creates a giant energy ball that could destroy the earth several times over. Goku and Vegeta fly to Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Piccolo, but they are too slow. Goku sees Hercule and Bee and grabs them. Kibito Kai appears to grab them and take them back to the world of the kais. They run out of time, and Kibito Kai teleports himself, Goku, Vegeta, Hercule, and Bee to the world of the kais. The energy ball hits the planet, destroying the earth and killing Goten, Trunks, Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, and Chiaotzu. Buu is also destroyed in the blast, but he soon regenerates. He gains the power of Instant Transmission and he teleports planet to planet, looking for Vegeta and Goku. If he doesn't find them, he destroys the planet. He eventually makes his way to the Grand Kai's planet. Some of Goku's friends try to defend themselves, including Krillin, Yamcha, and Pikkon. Goku doesn't want the planet to be destroyed, so he tells Vegeta to raise his power level to attract Buu. Soon Buu senses the energy and uses Instant Transmission to teleport to the planet of the kais. Kibito Kai teleports himself, Dende, and the Elder Kai to a distant plant to watch the fight through a crystal ball. Goku and Vegeta play rock, paper, scissors to see who will fight Buu first. Goku powers up to a Super Saiyan 2 and starts beating Buu, but he regenerates. Goku soon powers up to a Super Saiyan 3. Whenever Goku blasts Buu, he just regenerates. Soon Goku is returned to normal and he falls to the ground. Vegeta steps in but he isn't nearly as strong as Buu. He is about to finish Vegeta off when Goku comes back and pushes Vegeta out of the way. He turns back into a Super Saiyan 3 and continues his fight with Buu. Vegeta finally admits that Goku is stronger than him after reminiscing about old battles. Goku tells Vegeta that he can take his turn, but Vegeta declines. Goku tells him he needs a minute to power up and asks Vegeta to keep Buu busy. Vegeta powers up to a Super Saiyan 2 to keep Buu busy. Buu starts choking Vegeta with an extended arm, and it has been over a minute since Goku started powering up. In fact, he seems to be getting weaker. Buu is about to finish him off with an energy blast when Hercule steps in. Buu releases Vegeta and turns his attention to Mr. Satan. Buu is about to kill him with a single punch when he suddenly stops, finding himself not able to do it. He spits out the fat, good Buu and turns his attention back to Mr. Satan. Kid Buu fires an energy blast at Hercule which is deflected by the good Buu. Goku reverts back to his original form. The Buus start fighting, but Kid Buu is much more powerful. Vegeta starts coming up with a plan. He starts communicating with Dende, telling him to go to New Namek to summon Porunga. When Dende arrives with Kibito Kai and the Elder Kai, the Namekians already have the 7 Dragonballs gathered. Dende summons Porunga and Vegeta tells him 2 wishes. The first wish is to have the earth restored back to normal. The second wish is to bring back everybody who died since the morning of the World Martial Arts Tournament besides the really evil people. They realize there may be a snag with the second wish because Porunga is only able to bring back 1 person per wish. Moori, the leader of the Namekians, tells him that they fixed that after their run in with Frieza, so the wish can be granted. Porunga grants both these wishes. Vegeta tells Goku the final part of his plan, a Spirit Bomb. Goku gets into position to start gathering the energy of every person on Earth. Vegeta talks to everybody on Earth via King Kai. He asks them to raise their hands to the sky so that they can defeat Buu. Nobody but their friends and family believes him, so Goku only gains energy from Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Videl, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Master Roshi, Android 18, etc. The good Buu runs out of energy and Vegeta is forced to fight Kid Buu to buy Goku more time. Goku starts asking the people of Earth to raise their hands, gathering more energy from the people from Eighter's village and Upa's tribe. Piccolo, Trunks, Goten, and Gohan try to reason with the people of the city to listen to the voice from the sky, but still nobody does it. Hercule steps in and starts talking to the people of Earth, telling them he needs their help to defeat Buu. Recognizing the voice of their champion, almost everybody else gives their energy to the Spirit Bomb. The Spirit Bomb is finally ready, but Vegeta is now in the way and is too weak to get out of the way. Goku refuses to kill Vegeta, even if it kills Buu. The good Buu holds Kid Buu down while Hercule gets Vegeta out of the way. The good Buu is thrown away, and Goku throws the Spirit Bomb at Kid Buu. It hits Kid Buu, but he catches it. Buu starts pushing the Spirit Bomb back towards Goku. Vegeta remembers they still have a wish for Porunga and tells Dende to wish that Goku's power level be restored to normal. Goku feels the return of his energy and turns into a Super Saiyan. He throws the Spirit Bomb back at Buu with renewed force, wishing that Buu would come back as a good person. Kid Buu is finally dead. Kibito Kai, Elder Kai, and Dende are brought back to the planet of the kais where Dende heals Goku and Vegeta. Hercule finds Majin Buu and asks Dende to heal him too. Vegeta is about to blast him when Hercule jumps in the way. Goku agrees with Hercule and Dende heals Majin Buu. Kibito Kai takes Hercule, Majin Buu, Goku, Vegeta, and Dende back to the lookout. 4 months later, the heroes summon Shenron to ask that everybody forget about Majin Buu. Sometime later Bulma throws a barbeque and invites all the Z-fighters. Goku is nowhere to be found, so his family leaves without him. Goku is watching some dinosaur eggs. He protects them from storms and fighting dinosaurs. Eventually Goku gets himself to the party, and they have a good time. 10 years later, Goku is training with 17-year-old Goten when Vegeta and Bulma arrive at the house. Goku tells Vegeta about a powerful new Earthling fighter that will appear at the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament. Goku is also having Goten enter in the tournament. Vegeta decides to join the tournament and has Trunks join as well. 4-year-old Pan, the daughter of Gohan and Videl, says she is also going to be joining the tournament, even though there is no Junior Division. The drawing for the tournament brackets starts and Goku has Buu use magic to have Goku fight a kid in the 1st round. Vegeta is amazed, knowing that Goku means for this to be the fighter he was told about. Pan beats her first opponent with relative ease. Next up is Goku vs. Uub. Uub is the reincarnation of the evil Kid Buu (Uub is Buu spelled backwards). King Yemma heard Goku's wish for Kid Buu to come back as a good person and granted it. Goku baits Uub so that he will show some of his true power. Uub seems to be learning to fight as he is fighting. Goku decides to train Uub to be the next protector of Earth. Goku tells his family that he is going to leave and train Uub in his village and at the lookout. Goku begins his years of training with Uub.
