Dragonball Movies

Let's start with the Dragonball movies, shall we?  The four Dragonball movies are "Curse of the Blood Rubies," "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle," "Mystic Adventure," and "The Path to Power."  Each of these retells events in Dragonball in a different way.  For example, "The Path to Power" and "Curse of the Blood Rubies" retell how Bulma met Goku and other characters along with their relations.  "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" tells how Goku and Krillin meet Launch.  Finally, in "Mystic Adventure," it tells of Shen, Chiaotzu, Mercenary Tao, and Tien are all in different positions.  Chiaotzu is like an emperor and Shen, Mercenary Tao, and Tien are like are advisors that are trying to take over the empire with the help of the Dragonballs.  It also holds a martial arts tournament.  It has other people in different positions, like everyone who worked for the Red Ribbon Army; except for Colonel Silver, General White, and Commander Red; work for the empire.  This has parts from the first three seasons of Dragonball.  It is considered that there is the normal Dragonball storyline, the first three movies replacing different parts of the Dragonball storyline, and finally, "The Path to Power" is on its own until it ends, then taking on the rest of the events of Dragonball, with a few exceptions of course.  For example, none of these movies mention Chi-Chi, so Goku couldn't have promised to marry her, so Chi-Chi wouldn't have gone after him in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.

Now we shall move on to the Dragonball Z movies.  In my opinion, very few of the movies can fit into the actual timeline, sometimes just because of a line, sometimes just because Piccolo is in the movies.  The only movies I can think can fit into the timeline are the following: "Dead Zone," "Cooler's Revenge," "Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan," "Bojack Unbound," and "Wrath of the Dragon." Let's go through the movies that don't work into a normal timeline, shall we?  "The World's Strongest" doesn't work just because Piccolo is in it.  This makes the movie impossible because, first, Goku is alive without the ability to turn into a Super Saiyan. Second, Gohan has been trained by Piccolo, making this past the Saiyan Saga.  These two reasons combined make this movie impossible to place.  Next we have "The Tree of Might."  This is for the same reasons as "The World's Strongest," being Piccolo having trained Gohan and is still alive, along with Goku being alive without being a Super Saiyan.  Guess What?  The next movie, "Lord Slug," is once again not able to fit into the timeline because of those reasons.  In addition, "Lord Slug" can not go into the timeline because King Kai thought that the false Super Saiyan form was the Super Saiyan form.  "The Return of Cooler does not fit for the reason that Dende is the guardian of Earth, but Gohan has not been into the Hyberbolic Time Chamber.  Goku does not go to New Namek until after Gohan and Goku emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.  "Super Android 13" doesn't fit into the timeline because Trunks is in it before he goes into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Vegeta.  The only time they would have found time to fight Android 13, Android 14, and Android 15 is during the nine days before the Cell Games which is after Trunks's journey into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with his father.  Broly Second Coming can not fit into the timeline because Goku would have to be dead in Otherworld and Goten would have needed to be able to use his Super Saiyan powers to the fullest.  There is a short period of time where these factors are in effect, which would be from his returning to Otherworld to Elder Kai giving his life to Goku.  However, during this time period, everyone thought Gohan was dead, so this movie is impossible to put into the timeline.  Bio-Broly is not able to be put into the timeline because Brole Second Coming is not in the timeline.  Finally there is "Fusion Reborn."  This one is impossible because of a few adding reasons.  One of these reasons alone wouldn't work, but they combined makes it impossible.  First, there is only a short time period when both Goku and Vegeta are dead at that point.  Then there is the fact that Goten, Gohan, and Trunks are not training to beat Buu.  Buu would be on a rampage, yet they are not doing anything to stop him?  I think not.

"Dead Zone" fits in between Dragonball and Dragonball Z.  It would happen closer to Dragonball Z because Gohan is still young, but not as old as he was when Raditz comes to Earth.  "Cooler's Revenge" takes place during the three years in between Trunks killing Mecha Frieza and Android 19 and Dr. Gero showing up.  "The Return of Cooler" would take place during the nine days before the Cell Games.  "Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan" would also take place during this time.  "Bojack Unbound" happens very soon after the Cell Games.  "Broly Second Coming," in my opinion, happens while Gohan is training Goten and Videl for the World Martial Arts Tournament.  "Bio Broly," in my opinion, happens in between the defeat of Kid Buu and Uub showing up at the World Martial Arts Tournament.  "Wrath of the Dragon" happens during the same time period.
