Basic Dragonball Facts

The Dragonball shows are based on the magma written by Akira Toriyama.  The 3 shows are Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT.

There are seven mystical orbs known as Dragonballs in the Dragonball universe.  Kami, a namekian, created the earth's Dragonballs.  Each ball has a number a stars on the surface from 1-7.  When all seven are gathered, the eternal dragon, Shenron, emerges from the balls and grants you 1 wish.  The wish will be granted if it is within the dragon's power, and the Dragonballs will be turned to stone and scattered all over the world.  The Dragonballs will be reactivated in 1 year.  The Dragonballs have limits, however.  They can not grant the same wish twice, they cannot revive a person who died a natural death, and, if Kami dies, the Dragonballs will turn to stone forever unless he is revived like after Piccolo is wished back with the Namekian Dragonballs..

Planet Namek is far, far away from Earth.  Planet Namek once had many Namekians liveing on it.  The climate changed and all the Namekians besides Guru and the unnamed Namekian.  All Namekians are unisex and are hatched from eggs.  Guru gave life to the planet and gave birth to all its inhabitants.  These are where the original Dragonballs are found.  The Namekian Dragonballs are larger and its dragon, Porunga, can grant 3 wishes instead of one.  It can grant the same wish twice but can only bring one person back per wish.  They can not bring back a person who died a natural death and, if Guru dies, the dragonballs will turn to stone forever unless they are given a new master, such as when Guru gives them to Mori.

The Black Star Dragonballs were created by the unnamed Namekian and are stored on Earth at Kami's lookout.  If the Black Star Dragonballs are used to make a wish, they are scattered across the galaxy, and, if they are not returned to the planet they were wished upon, will make the planet explode in 1 year.

The currency in the show is known as zeni.
