Dragonball Heroes

Heroes
In the beginning of the show, Goku is a simple boy with a tail who was raised by his adoptive grandfather, Gohan.  He also possesses the amazing power poll.  He later finds out that he is from an alien race known as the Sayians and was known as Kakarot.  Goku has been trained by Master Roshi, Korrin, Kami, and King Kai.  He battles foes like Emperor Pilaf, the Red Ribbon Army, Piccolo Daimao, Piccolo Jr., Prince Vegeta, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Broly, Cell, Majin Buu, kid Buu, Baby, and the shadow dragons.  His rival is Vegeta.  Goku was the second Sayain to ever reach the Super Saiyian level.  He is also the second to reach the Super Sayian 2 level and the first to reach the Super Saiyan 3 and 4 levels.  Goku is married to a woman named Chi-Chi.  Goku has a son named after his grandfather, Gohan, and another son named Goten.  Goku apperars in all 3 shows, the 3 television shows, and every movie besides Bio-Broly.  Goku dies twice during the shows.

Chi-Chi is the wife of Goku and the mother of Gohan and Goten.  She is trained in martial arts and trains Goten.  Chi-Chi was the one that taught Gohan that school comes first.  She was a little less strict and easy going while raising  Goten.  Chi-Chi is in all 3 shows and the Dragonball Z movies: Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, The Tree of Might, Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge, Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, and Bojack Unbound.

Gohan is the first son of Goku and Chi-Chi, making him 1/2 Saiyan.  Gohan makes his television premier on the 1st episode of Dragonball Z.  Gohan is the 4th to reach the Super Saiyan level but is the 5th Super Saiyan seen (this is because a teenager named Trunks came from the future and can become a Super Saiyan).  He is the 1st to reach the Super Sayian 2 level but never reaches Super Sayain 3.  Gohan is a scholar that, at 4-years-old, said he wants to be an orthopedist.  What is an orthopedist anyway?  Anyway, Gohan helps in battles against dangerous villains such as Prince Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, and Super Buu.  His most rememberable fight is his fight with Cell when he transforms into a Super Saiyan 2.  Gohan is often referred to as the reluctant hero.  This is because he does not have the passion for fighting his father has.  He is married to Videl.  He is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and all of the Dragonball Z movies besides Bio-Broly.

Goten is the second son of Goku and the youngest person to reach the Super Saiyan level.  He, like his brother, is 1/2 Saiyan.  Trunks is Goten's rival and best friend.  He reached this level while training with his mother, Chi-Chi.  He is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and the Dragonball Z movies: Broly Second Coming, Bio-Broly, Fusion Reborn, and Wrath of the Dragon.

Videl is Gohan's wife and she is trained in the martial arts.  They have a daughter named Pan.  She is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and the Dragonball Z movies Broly Second Coming and Fusion Reborn.

Pan is Gohan's daughter and Goku's granddaughter.  Pan goes with Trunks and Goku to look for the black star dragonballs.  She is 1/4 Saiyan.  Pan appears in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and the television special A Hero's Legacy.

Mr. Satan is Videl's father, making him Pan's grandfather.  Mr. Satan became the world champion while Goku had been fighting villains.  Mr. Satan would have lost a tournament to Android 18, but she made him a deal.  She would throw the fight, but Mr. Satan would have to pay her double the prize money.  Mr. Satan says that he defeated Cell, but the Z-fighters know that Gohan defeated him.  Mr. Satan is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and the Dragonball Z movies Bio-Broly and Fusion Reborn.

Bulma Briefs is a technology genius that was the first female and, after his grandfather, the first person Goku ever meets.  Bulma is the wife of Vegeta and the mother of Trunks and Bulla.  Bulma is the person that invented the dragon radar, an invention that is used to track the dragonballs.  Bulma is in all 3 shows, the Dragonball Movies, and the Dragonball Z movies: Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, The Tree of Might, Lord Slug, Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, Bojack Unbound, and Wrath of the Dragon.  She also appears in the television special The History of Trunks.

Vegeta is the Prince of all Saiyans.  He was raised on Planet Vegeta, the home planet of the Saiyans.  Vegeta had been strong his whole life.  Goku is Vegeta's rival.  His Dragonball Z premier is in season 1 as a villian.  He is considered more of an anti-hero.  That means he is a hero that does not have the characteristics of a normal hero such as Goku.  Vegeta was the third to reach the Super Saiyan level, the third to reach the Super Saiyan 2 level, and the second to reach the Super Saiyan 4 level.  Vegeta skipped the Super Saiyan 3 level.  He fights Goku, Krillian, Gohan, Frieza, Android 19, Dr. Gero, Andriod 18, Cell, Majin Buu, Kid Buu, and Omega Shenron.  Vegeta is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and the Dragonball Z movies: The Return of Cooler, Super Android 13, Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, Bojack Unbound, Fusion Reborn, and Wrath of the Dragon.  He is also featured in the television special The History of Trunks.

Trunks (alternate timeline) is the son of Prince Vegeta and Bulma, making him 1/2 Saiyan.  He appears and defeats Frieza after being turned into a cyborg.  He also defeats Frieza's father King Cold.  Trunks is from a future where 2 killer androids run amok.  They are known as Androids 17 and 18.  He came to the past to give Goku an antidote to a heart disease that would kill him before the androids arrived.  Trunks did not expect that him traveling back in time would cause androids 13-20 to appear.  Trunks (alternate timeline) appears in Dragonball Z and the Dragonball Z movies: Super Android 13, Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan, and Bojack Unbound.  He is also the main character in The History of Trunks television special.

Gohan (alternate timeline) is from the same timeline as Trunks (alternate timeline).  Gohan's mission is to destroy the androids and bring peace to Earth.  Gohan can go Super Saiyan but never passes this level in this alternate timeline.  Gohan (alternate timeline) is only in the Dragonball Z television special The History of Trunks.

Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma, making him 1/2 Saiyan.  Being only one year older, Trunks is Goten's rival and best friend.  In Dragonball GT, Trunks goes out to space with Goku and Pan to retrieve the black star dragonballs.  He fights Baby but Baby escapes.  Trunks appears in Dragonall Z, Dragonball GT, and the Dragonball Z movies: Broly Second Coming, Bio-Broly, Fusion Reborn, and Wrath of the Dragon.

Bulla is the daughter of Vegeta and Bulma.  She is 1/2 Saiyan.  Bulla is in Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT.

Gotenks is the fusion of Trunks and Goten and was created out of the two doing the fusion dance taught to them by Goku.  The fusion dance's affects only last half an hour.  Gotenks is stronger than the sum of his parts, and is the second to reach the Super Saiyan 3 level after seeing Goku do it once.  Gotenks never went Super Saiyan 2.  Gotenks fights against Majin Buu and Super Buu.  When Trunks and Goten did the fusion dance wrong, either fat Gotenks or a skinny, starving version of Gotenks would emerge.  Gotenks appears in Dragonball Z and the Dragonball Z movies Fusion Reborn and Wrath of the Dragon.

Vegeto is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta with the help of the Pattara Earings.  Vegeto is only seen at the normal and Super Saiyan levels.  Usually when using the Pattara Earings you can not unfuse.  Somehow, when Super Buu ate Vegeto, he turned back into Goku and Vegeta.  Goku and Vegeta decided to never use the Pattara Earings again.  Because of this, Vegeto only appears in Dragonball Z.

Gogeta is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta with the help of the fusion dance.  This fusion only lasts for half and hour.  Still, Vegeta does not enjoy doing this, so he only does it twice.  Gogeta fought against Super Janemba and Omega Shenron.  Gogeta is only seen at the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 4 levels.  Gogeta is in Dragonball GT and the Dragonball Z movie Fusion Reborn.

The unnamed Namekian was shipped off of Namek because there was a climate change that killed every Namekian on the planet besides Guru.  The unnamed Namekian landed on Earth at a place called Yunzabit.  He waited there for years and then left.  He went up to the lookout to become the next guardian.  He was refused because there was darkness in his heart.  He made all the evil energy in himself become a separate entity.  The evil became Piccolo Daimao and the good became Kami.

Piccolo Jr. is another villain turned hero.  Picoolo Jr. is a Namekian that is the offspring of Piccolo Daimao.  When Piccolo Daimao was about to explode, he made an egg and put his entire essence into it.  Piccolo Jr. came out of that egg.  Piccolo Jr. is not as evil as his father, however.  Piccolo helps train Gohan to fight the Saiyans.  Piccolo Daimao is the evil half of the unnamed Namekian.  Since Piccolo Daimao put his entire essence into the egg, Piccolo Jr. is still considered half of the unnamed Namekian.  If Piccolo Jr. dies, Kami, the good half of the unnamed Namekian, will die also.  At the threat of Cell and the androids, they merge and become the unnamed Namekian, but he still goes by Piccolo.  Piccolo also merged with a Namekian named Nail before fighting Friaza.  Piccolo fights foes such as Nappa, Frieza, Android 17, and Cell.  Piccolo Jr. is in all 3 shows, the television special The History of Trunks, and the Dragonball Z movies: Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, The Tree of Might, Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge, the Return of Cooler, Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan, Bojack Unbound, and Broly Second Coming.

Dende is a young Namekian.  Dende has the power to heal thanks to Guru.  After Kami fuses with Piccolo, Dende becomes the Guardian of Earth so the dragonballs would reactivate.  To reactivate the dragonballs, he had to revive the stone dragon model that became the new eternal dragon, Shenron.  Dende is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and the Dragonball Z movie The Return of Cooler.

Yamcha is an Earthling that was one of Goku's original friends.  Yamcha's closest companion is Puar.  Yamcha dated Bulma in Dragonball and the first 3 seasons of Dragonball Z.  Yamcha trained under Master Roshi with Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, and Krillin.  Yamcha fought against foes such as Nappa and Dr. Gero. King Cold is Frieza's  and Cooler's father.  King Cold looks like Frieza's 2nd form.  King Cold found Frieza floating in space and had scientists make a cyborg body for his son.  King Cold fights Trunks (alternate timeline) when he is a Super Saiyan.  King Cold is killed by Trunks.  King Cold is in Dragonball Z.

Android 19 fights Goku when he is a Super Saiyan and would have lost if Goku had not received the symptoms of the heart virus predicted by Trunks (alternate timeline).  Android 19 also fought Vegeta when he is a Super Saiyan.  Android 19 loses and is destroyed by Vegeta.  Android 19 is in Dragonball Z.

Dr. Gero was the head scientist for the Red Ribbon Army.  After the army was beaten, Dr. Gero went to work to make killing machines that would be able to defeat Goku.  To do this, he made androids.  The only androids seen are androids 13-20.  He could have made Android 8, but it is unclear.  Dr. Gero is Android 20.  In Trunks's (alternate timeline) future, as soon as Dr. Gero made androids 17 and 18, they killed him.  Dr. Gero fights Vegeta when he is a Super Saiyan.  Vegeta defeats him, but Dr. Gero retreats.  He retreats to activate androids 17 and 18.  Dr. Gero is killed by Android 17.  Dr. Gero is seen in hell when Goku is fighting kid Buu.  He also created another Android 17 with Dr. Myu.  He did this so that the 2 Android 17s could merge and become Super Android 17.  They do this and destroy their creators, sending them back to hell.  Dr. Gero is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, the television specail The History of Trunks, and the Dragonball Z movie Super Android 13.
Android 17 is an android built by Dr. Gero.  After being reactivated, Android 17 kills Dr. Gero.  Hethen, along with Android 18, reactivate Android 16.  They travel to Goku's house only to find it deserted.  He is met by Piccolo, and they battle on an island.  Their battle is stopped when Cell shows up.  Cell sneaks up on Android 17 and absorbs him.  That is all he see of him until later in Dragonball Z when he helps Goku create the spirit bomb that defeats kid Buu.  He also fuses with another Android 17 to become Super Android 17.  Details about the other Android 17 and Super Android 17 will be later in the blog.  The 2 Android 17s open the portal to hell.  This portal lets all the bad guys in the shows come back to life.  They start terrorizing the Earth.  Android 17 is in Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, the television special The History of Trunks, and the Dragonball Z movie: Super Android 13.

Android 17 (alternate timeline) is even more evil than the present Android 17.  This is not the second Android 17 created by Dr. Gero and Dr. Myu or the original Android 17.  This Android 17 is from the timeline of Trunks (alternate timeline).  He battles Gohan (alternate timeline) and Trunks (alternate timeline).  This Android 17 is seen in the television special, The History of Trunks.

Android 18 (alternate timeline) is Android 17's accomplice in crime.  This Android 18 feels that life is boring.  This Android 18 is in the television special, The History of Trunks.

Cell is an android created by Dr. Gero's super computer.  Cell is made out of the DNA of the most powerful warriors ever to walk the Earth.  He has the DNA of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Frieza, and Tien Shinhan.  Cell's creation was complete years in the future.  The main Cell is from a timeline different from the timeline of the show or Trunks (alternate timeline).  He also appears in Trunks's timeline at the end of the Cell Games Saga.  The Cell from Trunks's timeline is killed quickly by Trunks.  The main Cell killed Trunks in his own timeline and used Trunks's time machine to go to a time where androids 17 and 18 were alive.  He started gaining strength by sucking the life energy out of humans.  He fights Piccolo and Android 16 to get to Android 17.  He absorbs Android 17 to transform into his semi-perfect form.  He later absorbs Android 18 to transform into his perfect form.  He then hosts the Cell Games to test his new powers.  In the first few fights, he beats people without even touching them.  When he fights Goku, it is an epic fight, but Goku forfeits.  Goku then picks Gohan to fights Cell.  It is not much of a fight until Gohan transforms into Super Saiyan 2.  As a Super Saiyan 2, Gohan dominates Cell.  Gohan punches Cell so hard, Cell spits out Android 18, turning him back into his semi-perfect form.  Cell than starts to self-destruct by making himself so big he would explode, taking out Earth along with him.  He would have succeeded if Goku would have not instant transmissioned him to King Kai's planet.  He explodes, but regenerates in the middle of space.  He also learns the instant transmission technique while regenerating.  He teleports back to Earth to fight Gohan again.  Cell says his new form is beyond perfection.  Cell is defeated by Gohan's kamehameha wave.  Cell is also seen when Goku goes to hell.  Cell is defeated when Goku freezes Cell along with Frieza.  Cell is in Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT.  (The left picture of Cell is his semi-perfect form.  The right picture is his perfect form.)

Evil Buu (Super Buu) is the evil in Majin Buu in a physical form.  He turns Majin Buu into candy and eats him.  Super Buu then goes to fight Gotenks.  They fight in the Hyperbolic Timechamber.  Gotenks would have beaten Super Buu, but Super Buu has the ability to regenerate.  When Gotenks destroys the only way out of the Hyperbolic Timechamber, he yells so loudly that it opens a temporary portal out.  He leaves the chamber and eats Chi-Chi, Android 18, Marron, Videl, and Krillin.  When Gohan shows up when all his sleeping power had been awakened, he tricks Goten and Trunks into fusing and going Super Saiyan 3.  He absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo to become very powerful.  He battles Gohan.  He later absorbs Gohan.  He battles Vegeto also.  He turns Vegeto into a jawbreaker.  Even that did not stop Vegeto.  He turns Vegeto back to normal and swallows him.  Vegeta and Goku try to release the people Super Buu had absorbed, including Majin Buu.  When Majin Buu left Super Buu's body, he reverted back to kid Buu.  Super Buu is in Dragonball Z.

Kid Buu is the original creation of Bibidy.  Kid Buu is pure evil.  Kid Buu goes from planet to planet, trying to find and kill Goku and Vegeta.  After much fighting, kid Buu is killed by Goku's ultimate weapon, the spirit bomb.  Kid Buu is in Dragonball Z.

Baby is the last descendent of the Tuffle race.  Before the extermination of the Tuffle race, a scientist created a seed and put Baby's DNA inside of it.  Dr. Myuu found this seed and grew it so that it would be his ultimate weapon.  Baby kills Dr. Myuu and goes to Earth.  There he is engaged by Goten.  Baby takes over Goten's body.  Through Goten's mind he figures out who the strongest Saiyan on the planet, Vegeta (Goku had not yet returned from collecting the black star dragonballs).  He goes to Bulma's house and finds his mother.  Gohan and Videl arrive and Gohan can tell something is not right with his little brother.  They leave the area to fight.  Baby also possesses Gohan during the fight.  Baby then hunts down Vegeta.  He takes over Vegeta and starts infecting everybody else on the planet.  He wants to turn the humans into Tuffles and takes Bulma to be his queen.  Baby fights Goku when Goku is a Super Saiyan 3, and Golden Great Ape, and a Super Saiyan 4.  Baby leaves Vegeta's body and tries to escape but fails when Goku blasts him into the sun.  (The image above is of Baby Vegeta when he fights Goku before turning into a Golden Great Ape.)  Baby is in Dragonball GT.

The other Android 17 was created by Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu.  This Android 17 helped open the gateway of hell to open, letting all the villains from the show terrorize the Earth.  This Android 17 meets up with the original Android 17.  They fuse to become Super Android 17.  This Android 17 is in Dragonball GT.

Super Android 17 is the fusion between the two Android 17s.  He is much more powerful and even more ruthless.  Super Android 17 fights Android 18 and Goku.  Goku defeats him.  Super Android 17 is in Dragonball GT.

The 7 shadow dragons were created by the negative energy that was created by the overuse of the dragonballs.  The dragons are named Haze Shenron, Rage Shenron, Oceanus Shenron, Naturon Shenron, Eis Shenron, and Syn Shenron.  Each dragon was born at the time of a certain wish.  They were contained inside the dragonballs until the negative energy was too much to hold for the dragonballs.  The shadow dragons are in Dragonball GT.

The Black Smoke Dragon came out of the dragonballs instead of Shenron.  He explains how the negative energy inside of the dragonballs has become to much for the balls to handle.  He also said that new dragons had been born out of this negative energy and was created by a certain wish.  The Black Smoke Dragon is in Dragonball GT.

Rage Shenron can control electricity and holds the five star ball.  Rage Shenron was born when Master Roshi wished that Goku would be brought back to life before the arrival of Vegeta and Nappa.  Rage Shenron fought Pan and Goku and was defeated, and the ball was purified.  Rage Shenron is in Dragonball GT.

Oceanus Shenron is the controller of water and wind and holds the six star dragonball.  This dragon was born by perhaps the most embarrassing wish ever made to the eternal dragon.  Oceanus Shenron was born when Oolong wished for the most comfortable pair of underpants.  Goku defeats this dragon and the ball is purified.  Oceanus Shenron is in Dragonball GT.

Naturon Shenron holds the seven star dragonball.  This dragon was born from a wish to reverse what Vegeta did on the stage at the World Martial Arts Tournament when he was known as Majin Vegeta.  Naturon Shenron can possess animals and controls the element of earth.  He uses this to use Pan's body as a host while keeping his original form.  Naturon is defeated by Goku and Pan is saved.  The dragonball is then purified.  Naturon Shenron is in Dragonball GT.

Nuova Shenron is the dragon of fire and hold the 4 star ball.  Eis Shenron is his twin brother.  Nuova is killed by Eis Shenron.  He came back to life and fought Omega Shenron.  Omega Shenron kills him.  Nuova Shenron is in Dragonball GT.

Eis Shenron is the dragon of ice.  Eis hold the 3 star dragonball.  Nuova Shenron is his twin brother.  Nuova Shenron kills his brother, Nuoava Shenron.  Eis Shenron is in Dragonball GT.

Syn Shenron holds the 1 star dragonball.  Syn Shenron, unlike the other dragons, does not have an elemental power.  Instead, Syn Shenron is the power of evil itself.  Syn Shenron is perhaps the most poewerful of the shadow dragons.  During Syn Shenron's fight with Goku, Syn absorbs the other dragonballs and becomes Omega Shenron.  Syn Shenron appears in Dragonball GT.

Omega Shenron is the result when Syn Shenron absorbs the other dragonballs.  Omega Shenron has all the elemental powers of the shadow dragons.  Omega Shenron faces Goku and Vegeta when they are Super Saiyan 4s.  He even fights the fusion between the 2, Gogeta, as a Super Saiyan 4.  Omega Shenron is killed by Goku.  Omega Shenron is in Dragonball GT.

Notable Dragonball Items

The first item shown with special powers is the Power Pole.  Goku received his power pole from his grandfather, Gohan.  It has the special power to stretch very far.  Its purpose was that it would connect Korin's Tower to Kami's Lookout.  The first time it is seen is the first episode of Dragonball when Goku is investigating Bulma as being human.  It is featured in Dragonball, the Dragonball movies Curse of the Blood Rubies and Path to Power, and the Dragonball Z movie Dead Zone.

Capsules are used as convenient storage devices.  They can store virtually anything.  They can store buildings, tanks, fighter planes, boats, magazines, etc.  They are distributed by Capsule Corporation and were designed by Dr. Briefs, Bulma's father.  They appear in Dragonball.

The Flying Nimbus is given to Goku by Master Roshi.  Master Roshi got from Korin after he trained with him for three years.  Goku also gets a better one from Korin.  The Flying Nimbus can only be ridden by someone who is pure of heart.  This is proven when it is given to Goku, for Master Roshi and Bulma fall straight through the cloud.  Users of the Flying Nimbus seen in the shows are Goku, Upa, Gohan, and Goten.  The Flying Nimbus is featured in Dragonball; Dragonball Z; the Dragonball movies: Curse of the Blood Rubies, Mystical Adventure, and Path to Power; and the Dragonball Z movies Dead Zone and The World's Strongest.

The Dragonballs are major items in the series.  They were created by Kami, but were later remade by Dende.  The regular Dragonballs that are found on Earth can fit in your hands, has a number of red stars from one to seven, and summon Shenron.  Shenron can grant one or two wishes, depending on the last person to create/recreate them.  They are supposed to only be used once every century, but if you read my story line posts, you can easily tell that they are used many more times than that.  The Dragonballs are eventually overused and they crack.  They each birth a shadow dragon: Syn Shenron having the one-star Dragonball,  Haze Shenron having the two-star ball, Eis Shenron having the three-star Dragonball, Nuova Shenron having the four-star ball, Rage Shenron possessing the five-star Dragonball, Oceanus Shenron holding the six-star Dragonball, and Naturon Shenron having the seven-star Dragonball.  When filled with negative energy, they are blue.  The Dragonballs are in all three shows; all of the Dragonball movies besides Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle, and the Dragonball Z movies: Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, The Tree of Might, Lord Slug, Broly Second Coming, and Fusion Reborn.

The Dark Flying Nimbus can be ridden on by anyone, but only Korin is seen showing full control over it.  Mercenary Tao is the only person who is seen in the series riding the dark cloud.  While about a fourth of the way down from Korin's Tower, Korin makes Tao fall straight through the cloud, falling far down.  The Dark Flying Nimbus is in Dragonball.

Yajiroby's sword is super sharp.  It is used to slice Cymbal into two and to cut off Vegeta's tail.  Other than that, Yajiroby does not use it on account of being lazy.

The bell is used by Mr. Popo in training Goku during his three year stay at Kami's Lookout.  It is given to Goku by Korin, and he Goku gives it to Mr. Popo.  The bell is in Dragonball.

Saiyan Space Pods are used for transporting Saiyans from place to place.  From what is seen in the series, they can be controlled via remote control and can put someone in a hibernation-like state.  They have built in life support systems and are some of the fastest spaceships in the Dragonball universe.

Scouters are used to detect power levels.  Scouters are used by Saiyans and followers of Frieza.  Scouters are seen in Dragonball Z and the Dragonball Z movie The Tree of Might.

Saiyan armor is used by Saiyans and other followers of Frieza.  It is extremely durable and stretchable.  It can even stretch to the size that it fits a Great Ape.  Saiyan armor is seen in Dragonball Z and the Dragonball Z movie The Tree of Might.

The Namekian Dragonballs were created by Guru.  They summon Porunga.  These Dragonballs are much bigger than the earth's Dragonballs.  Porunga can grant three wishes, opposed to Shenron's one or two.  Porunga only responds to the Namekian language.  This is a good thing for the heroes, for Frieza had two chances to summon the dragon, but was unable to because of the language requirement.  The Namekian Dragonballs are in Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT.

The Capsule Corp. rocket was designed by Dr. Briefs.  He used the Saiyan space pod that Goku traveled from Planet Vegeta when he was an infant.  Dr. Briefs initially equips it with a machine that allows the user to train at 100x Earth's gravity.  Later, at Vegeta's demand, it is equipped with 200x Earth's gravity.  As he conquers these levels, he demands higher ones to be programmed.  He eventually gets it to 500x Earth's gravity.  Goku uses the ship to get to Planet Namek in five days.  He later uses it to fly to New Namek during the events of The Return of Cooler.  Vegeta also takes it through the galaxy looking for Goku after his fight with Frieza.  The ship is in Dragonball Z and the Dragonball Z movie The Return of Cooler.

Trunk's (alternate timeline) sword was used by Trunks various times against opponents such as Mecha Frieza and Android 14.  He got it sometime in between the death of Gohan (alternate timeline) and when he went back in time and killed Mecha Frieza.  Trunks's sword is in Dragonball Z and the Dragonball Z movies Super Android 13 and Bojack Unbound.

Dr. Gero's super computer thinks it is Dr. Gero.  After Dr. Gero's death, the super computer started building Android 13, Android 14, and Android 15.  When Super Android 13 is killed by Goku, it malfunctions and explodes.  Dr. Gero's super computer is in the Dragonball Z movie Super Android 13.

The Potara Earrings are used for permanent fusion.  When one is worn on someone's right ear and another on someone else's for permanent fusion.  When one is worn on some one's right ear and another on someone else's left ear, they are drawn together and combine together to make a new body with increased power.  This is seen only three times throughout the series.  The first was a flashback with Elder Kai fusing with a witch.  The second was Kibito and the Supreme Kai.  The final one was Vegeta and Goku, the only time it is reversed.  The Potara Earrings are in Dragonball Z.

Tapion's ocarina is used by Tapion.  It is enchanted, allowing the user to play the melody necessary to defeat the monster Hirudagon without learning it.  This is first used by Tapion and his younger brother to seal Hirudagon away.  When Hirudagon is revived, Tapion tries to seal him again with the ocarina, but it is destroyed.  The ocarina is in the Dragonball Z movie Wrath of the Dragon.

Tapion's/Trunks's sword is enchanted.  Tapion got the sword in a temple to defeat Hirudagon.  After Hirudagon is defeated again on Earth, he gives it to Trunks.  This sword resembles the sword of Trunks's (alternate timeline).  Trunks's sword is seen in the Dragonball Z movie Wrath of the Dragon and the opening of Dragonball GT.

The Black Star Dragonballs were created by the unnamed Namekian before he separated into Kami and Piccolo.  They summon a red Shenron, who, as normal Shenron, grants any one wish.  This Shenron is more powerful.  If the Black Star Dragonballs are used, if they are not returned to the planet that they were wished upon, the planet blows up.  These Dragonballs are used twice in the series, once by Emperor Pilaf and the second by Baby Vegeta.  They are in Dragonball GT.

The other Capsule Corp. ship takes Goku, Pan, Giru, and Trunks through the universe looking for the Black Star Dragonballs.  It is designed by Bulma.  It is in Dragonball GT.

Dragonball Story

Note:This post contains many spoilers.  This story takes place over several years, although it may not seem like it by the way I am writing it.  This is taken from the Funimation dub of the series.

The Emperor Pilaf Saga

The story begins with Goku, a simple boy with a tail, doing things such as gathering firewood and fishing.  A girl named Bulma is unknowingly going to Goku's house for his Dragonball.  She already has 2 Dragonballs.  Goku destroys her car and takes her to his house.  They agree to hunt for the Dragonballs together.  Elsewhere, Emperor Pilaf finds the 1 star Dragonball.  They set out to find the Dragonballs.  They meet a turtle named Turtle, and Goku offers to take him to the ocean.  They do this and, when they get there, Turtle goes to find his master.  He tells Goku and Bulma to stay at the beach and wait for him.  He returns with the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi.  He gives Goku the Flying Nimbus, a yellow cloud that can fly a person anywhere.  To get on the Nimbus Cloud, you have to be pure of heart.  Goku gets on the Nimbus with ease and flies around.  Bulma also wanted something from the old man.  He agrees to give her his Dragonball if she would allow him to look at her panties.  She reluctantly agrees and she is rewarded with the Dragonball.  They travel to a village where the people are terrorized by Oolong the Terrible.  He is a shape shifter, and he kidnaps the people's daughters.  Goku agrees to rid the people of Oolong in return for the Dragonball in one of the villagers' possesion.  Goku fights Oolong, but for some reason, Oolong runs away in the middle of the fight.  Goku tries to pursue, but he loses him.  He asks a pig where he went, and the pig directs him in a direction.  Goku tries to find him but gives up and returns to the village.  Then Oolong returns and tries to scare Goku into leaving.  Goku refuses and defeats Oolong.  Oolong turns back into his original pig form and leads the village's people to his house.  They find the girls who are just being lazy, and Oolong asks the parents to take them off his hands.  Oolong then joins Goku and Bulma on their journey, and the threesome get their 5th Dragonball.  They go to cross the desert to get to Fire Mountain and they are met by Yamcha, a desert bandit, with his companion, Puar.  He battles Goku and defeats him (probably because Goku was hungry).  Yamcha leaves when he sees Bulma because he gets shy around women his age.  He decides to follow them so he can steal the Dragonballs.  The threesome arrives at Fire Mountian where they are attacked by the Ox King.  During the fight, the Ox King finds out that Goku is the adoptive grandson of Gohan, a man he trained with under Master Roshi.  Goku and the Ox King's daughter Chi-Chi go to find Master Roshi so he can give them the Bancho Fan.  Chi-Chi seems to fall in love with Goku during this.  They find Master Roshi and bring him back because he threw it away a long time ago.  Master Roshi tries to put out the flames with his Kamehameha Wave.  He instead destroys the castle.  Bulma and Oolong find the Dragonball in the rubble.  Now they have six.  They travel to the sight of the seventh and final Dragonball, which is Emeror Pilaf's castle.  On the way there, Shu, one of Pilaf's minions, steals the Dragonballs.  Shu did not know that Goku carried his Dragonball on his person.  Score, Pilaf 6, Goku, Bulma, and Oolong 1.  They go to the castle to get the Dragonballs back when they are captured by Pilaf.  He takes the Dragonball, and he leaves his castle to make his wish.  He summons the eternal dragon, Shenron, and he is speechless in amazement.  Meanwhile Goku tries to destroy their reinforced concrete prison.  He is able to make a small hole, so Oolong and Puar shape shift into bats and escape to try to take a Dragonball.  Oolong knew he would not have enough time to steal a Dragonball, so he makes his own wish.  He yells "I wish for the most comfortable pair of underpants."  His wish comes true, and the Dragonballs are scattered throughout the earth, unable to be tracked for a year (this case it was not true because of an inconsistency, the Dragonballs were reactivated in 8 months).  Emperor Pilaf gets so angry that he imprisons them in an oven room.  In the morning they would have been fried.  Goku looked at the full Moon, unknowingly absorbing bulx waves (the blux waves themselves would not be identified until Dragonball Z).  Goku turned into a giant ape and starts destroying the castle.  The prison was destroyed, and Goku started going on a rampage.  Goku had no control of himself.  Puar turns into scissors and cuts off his tail, making Goku return to his boy form.  In the aftermath, Bulma and Yamcha agree to date.  The saga ends with Goku planing to go to Master Roshi's island and receive training.

Tournament Saga

The saga starts with Goku flying on his Nimbus Cloud to Master Roshi's Island.  Master Roshi requires a new student to go and get him a "lady friend".  Goku tries 2 times and fails both times.  Then, a boy with a bald head and a yellow outfit comes to the Turtle Hermit's island.  The boy introduces himself as Krillin.  He says he wants to train under Master Roshi.  Goku and Krillin go and find a woman named Launch.  She has a secret, whenever she sneezes, her hair, eyes, and personality change.  She goes from blue hair, black eyes, and a gentle personality to a woman with blond hair, green eyes, and an angry personality.  They take her to Master Roshi and he agrees to train them.  Over the next 8 months, they deliver milk, do agriculture, swim laps while being chased by sharks, avoiding bees while tied to a tree, and doing construction work.  When the 8 months were over, Krillin and Goku enter the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament.  Master Roshi also enters in disguise as Jackie Chun.  Goku, Krillin, Master Roshi, and Yamcha all make it to the final 8.  The 1st round matchups are Krillin vs. Bacteriun, a man that has not taken a bath since the day he was born, Jackie Chun vs. Yamcha, Pan-Pan, a female fighter, vs. Nom, a man that lives in the desert along with the rest of his village, and Goku vs. Giran, a dragon like creature.  During Goku's fight, his tail grows back.  The 2nd round matchups are Krillin vs. Jackie Chun and Nom vs. Goku.  The final round was between Master Roshi as Jackie Chun vs. Goku.  Master Roshi wins the title and the 500,000 zeni prize money.  The saga ends with Goku eating a giant meal that costs Master Roshi most of his prize money.

Red Ribbon Army Saga

The saga begins with Goku telling his friends that he is going to go find his grandfather's 4 star Dragonball.  Bulma gives him the dragon radar.  He goes on his Flying Nimbus to a oasis in a desert.  While he is swimming, a boy steals his clothes, his power pole, and his dragon radar.  He finds his clothes and his power pole by commanding his power pole to extend.  The boy leaves with the dragon radar to sell in a nearby village.  He sells it to a shopkeeper in the village and buys a snack with the money.  Emperor Pilaf also goes to the village because his radar says there is a Dragonball there.  A mysterious force, known as the Red Ribbon Army, comes for the Dragonball as well.  The army tears apart houses one by one to try and find the Dragonball.  Goku finds his dragon radar at the shopkeepers store and takes it.  A shopkeeper sells Emperor Pilaf a fake dragonball.  Goku sees the fake Dragonball and, mistaking it for the real one, pursues him.  The same shopkeeper tries to sell another fake Dragonball to the Red Ribbon Army, but Colonel Silver can tell it is a fake.  He breaks the ball and shoots the shopkeeper.  A bird is frightened by the sound and carries the real Dragonball away.  The army sets out in pursuit of the ball while Goku flies on his Nimbus Cloud to try to get the fake dragoball from Pilaf's ship.  Pilaf has figured out that it is a fake and gives the ball to Goku.  It soon shatters and Goku looks on his radar to find the other Dragonball.  While the bird is flying, it is eaten by a pterodactyl.  The pterodactyl is killed by the Ox King, who is making a feast for Goku's predicted arrival and wedding to Chi-Chi.  Shu, Pilaf's henchman, disguises himself as Goku to try and get the Dragonball at the feast.  The army attacks to try to retrieve the Dragonball.  Emperor Pilaf gets it in the commotion.  He flies away in his flying fortress.  He goes to his underground base.  Goku finds the base and tries to take the Dragonball.  Pilaf takes himself to the skies in his flying fortress, where he is shot down by the Red Ribbon Army.  He reluctantly gives the Red Ribbon Army his Dragonball.  He gives the Dragonball to Commander Red, the leader of the Red Ribbon Army, and Red sends Colonel Silver out to find another Dragonball.  While Colonel Silver's forces are trying to find the Dragonball, Goku easily finds it using his dragon radar.  2 guys were looking in the area when Goku found the ball.  They call Colonel Silver that a boy found it and is flying away on a cloud.  While Goku is flying away, Colonel Silver shoots him out of the sky with a missile launcher.  Goku thinks his Flying Nimbus has been destroyed, so he asks Silver to apologize.  Silver attacks Goku and Goku beats him up.  Goku takes a plane and a robot to pilot the plane.  He uses the plain to travel to the northern regions of the world.  Silver calls HQ to tell those at HQ that a boy defeated him and that the boy has the Dragonball.  The robot that is piloting Goku's plane freezes and the plane crashes into the ground.  Goku is frozen stiff, and a girl named Sinoh saves him from the soldiers on their way to investigate the plane.  The Red Ribbon Army is in the northern regions because their radar detects a Dragonball in the area.  Sinoh and her mom get Goku back on his feet, and he decides to go destroy Muscle Tower, where the mayor of the town was being held.  for them.  They say it is dangerous, but Goku goes anyway.  He infiltrates the tower and defeats the guards on the 1st and 2nd floor.  On the 3rd floor, Major Metalitron is standing guard.  What Goku does not know is that Major Metalitron is a robot.  Goku takes his head off, but, being a robot, Major Metalitron continues to fight Goku.  Goku defeats him and advances to the 4th floor.  Ninja Morosaki is the guardian of the 4th floor.  He is known as the Messenger of Death.  He fights Goku and is forced to play his trump card, showing off his 4 quintuplets brothers.  Goku defeats the 4 brothers, which left only the original Ninja Morosaki.  Ninja Morosaki awakens Android 8 and commands him to destroy Goku.  Android 8 refuses because he says he hates violence.  Ninja Morosaki threatens to make the bomb in the android blow up.  The ninja was about to do it, but Goku kicked the remote out of his hand.  Goku knocks Ninja Morosaki out.  Goku gives the nickname Eighter to Android 8 and leaves for the maze that goes between the 4th and 5th floors.  Eighter follows him and he helps Goku through the maze.  Even though General White, the commander of Muscle Tower, was controlling the last part of the maze, Goku and Eighter made it through.  There is no door to the 5th floor, so they take the stairs to the 6th floor.  This is the control floor where the mayor is being held.  General White tells them to surrender.  When the twosome refuses, the general opens a trapdoor that falls to the 5th floor.  There they meet the giant pink creature known as Buyon.  This beast can shoot lightning out of his antenna.  Goku defeats Buyon by breaking the wall and freezing him.  Goku makes it back up to the 6th floor and uses his power pole to pull Eighter up.  General White agrees to let the mayor go, but it is a trick.  He puts the mayor in a headlock and points a gun at his head.  He tells Goku not to move, and the general shoots him.  Eighter sees this and gets very angry.  He punches the general so hard, he flies out the building and into the stars.  Goku recovers from the bullet, and Goku, Eighter, and the mayor leave to go back to the village.  Before they go, Eighter destroys Muscle Tower.  At the village, Eighter reveals that he had the Dragonball the whole time.  He gives the ball to Goku.  The next day, Goku, Eighter, and Sinoh go to Dr. Flappe's house to have the bomb removed from Eighter's chest.  Little do they know that Ninja Morosaki is following them.  The ninja infultrates the house and threatens Dr. Flappe that he would kill him, Goku, and Sinoh.  Eighter saves her, and Dr. Flappe removes the bomb from Eighter's chest.  Goku kicks the bomb into the air and it flies away, right to Ninja Morosaki.  It blows up in his face.  Goku realizes his dragon radar is broken, so he decides to go to Bulma's house in West City.  An elder at the village tells him that a Nimbus Cloud can not be destroyed.  Goku calls for his Nimbus Cloud and has a happy reunion.  Goku flies to the cilty and gets, but eventually finds a police officer to take him to Bulma's house.  She arrives home from school, and Goku finds out that Bulma is mad at Yamcha.  Bulma shows Goku her newest invention, the micro-band.  With it, she can shrink down to a fraction of her original size.  Goku puts her in his shirt, and she gives him a tour of the city.  They see an amusement park and plan to go to it.  Goku spots Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong and flies down to talk to them.  Oolong and Puar tell Yamcha just to get over Bulma.  Hearing this, Bulma jumps out of Goku's shirt and grows to full size.  She scolds him and then she tells Goku to take her to the amusement park.  Yamcha says they were planning the same thing, and they go together.  There is trouble brewing in the shadows, however.  A master thief named Haski works for the Red Ribbon Army, and her mission is to get the Dragonballs from Goku.  She disguises herself as a fortuneteller and goes to the amusement park.  She tricks Goku into showing her the Dragonballs and her comrades attack try to "attack" her.  Goku hands Yamcha the balls and follows them in pursuit when they run away.  She tricks Yamcha, and she grabs the Dragonballs.  She is about to blow up the amusement park when Goku saves the day.  The saga ends with Bulma agreeing to go hunt Dragonballs with Goku.

General Blue Saga

Goku and Bulma are flying on Goku's Flying Nimbus and the radar says the Dragonball is under the water.  They land on an island, and Goku tries to swim down to the Dragonball.  He discovers it is too deep, so he and Bulma travel to Master Roshi's island so he can use the airplane/submarine in Master Roshi's possession.  They get there and Master Roshi says he would let them use it but only if he got to use Bulma's micro-band.  He uses this later when he tries to see Launch in the bathroom.  Krillin decides to join them because some pirate treasure is believed to be in the area.  So Krillin, Goku, and Bulma all set out to the location using the airplane feature, while diving down to the bottom with the submarine feature.  General Blue of the Red Ribbon Army follows them.  The Red Ribbon Army also had a team going to Master Roshi's island because they think he is the scientist that created the dragon radar.  Launch sneezes and she easily defeats the small force.  General Blue and his men shoot torpedoes at the heroes' submarine.  Bulma finds a cave that has an air pocket.  When they find a light switch, they know this place has had other visitors.  There are traps around every corner in this place, including pitfalls and an area that shoots arrows if you touch a certain part of the floor, and Goku and company make it out of each one.  General Blue's men are killed by the arrow trap.  General Blue follows them and finds an alternate route.  There are traps on this route also, which includes an electric eel.  They eventually all make it to a modern building like area at different times.  When the heroes get there, a pirate robot attacks them.  After quite a long battle, Goku destroys the bot while the others escape.  At a fork, General Blue draws an arrow so that Goku would go away from his friends.  While Blue closes in on Krillin and Bulma, Goku keeps getting farther and farther away.  Goku's path takes him to a giant octopus.  Goku kills the octopus with his Kamehameha Wave and starts to eat the octopus.  Meanwhile, Krillin and Bulma find the pirates treasure.  General Blue shows up and fights Krillin.  When Krillin gives the general a bloody nose, the general plays his trump card, a paralyzing ability able to stop an opponent in their tracks.  He beats up Krillin and would have killed him if Goku had not shown up.  He fights General Blue and the general also uses his paralyzing ability on Goku.  He would have killed Goku if a rat had not scurried by.  The rat scares him, and Goku is set free from the paralysis.  Krillin and Bulma leave during the fighting to find a way out because the cave was about to collapse.  Goku finds the Dragonball and leaves to find his friends.  General Blue escapes on his own.  They make it out on a smaller vessel with help from Goku's Kamehameha Wave.  When they reach the surface, they go to the island that is General Blue's headquarters.  Bulma shows Goku and Krillin a diamond she was able to bring back from the treasure.  She decides to give the diamond to Roshi to pay for the airplane/submarine that was destroyed when the cave caved in.  They fly to Roshi's island by using some helicopter like vehicles.  Bulma gives Master Roshi the diamond, but he does not have it very long.  Launch's aggressive personality takes the diamond and one of the helicopter like vehicles.  They decide to just wait for Launch to sneeze and return.  Little did they know that General Blue had arrived on the island.  General Blue uses his powers to make blue rope come alive and bind Goku and his friends.  He takes the 3 Dragonballs, the other helicopter vehicle, and leaves a bomb.  Launch comes back and unties Goku.  Goku throws the bomb away and leaves to chase General Blue on his Flying Nimbus while Launch untied the others.  General Blue tries and fails to shake Goku off his trail.  His vehicle crashes in Penguin Village.  Goku makes new friends like Arale that offer to help him look for Blue.  She unknowingly runs into Blue and she scares him.  He runs away.  He plans to steal an airplane to fly back to the Red Ribbon  Army headquarters.  Goku tries to use the dragon radar to find Blue, but it does not work.  Arale takes Goku to a man that was good with electronics named Senbei.  Senbei has trouble figuring it out, so baby Turbo helps him out with his powers over technology.  The radar, being fixed, now shows the signal that Blue's Dragonballs were emitting.  He follows the signal through Senbei's house where General Blue had arrived to take the airplane that Senbei possessed.  When Goku and Arale find him, he puts a knife to Arale's throat.  Outside, General Blue paralyzes Goku and takes his dragon radar.  Arale hits Blue so hard with her head that he flies away.  This saga ends with Blue calling Commander Red from a desert area.

Commander Red Saga

The saga starts with Captain Yellow looking for a Dragonball in the land of Korin.  The ball is in a volcano, and when it erupts, the ball finds its way to a man named Bora.  Captain Yellow and his men find Bora and demand the Dragonball.  When Bora refuses, Yellow's men attack.  Bora beats down Captain Yellow's men.  Captain Yellow kidnaps Bora's son, Upa, and takes him high into the air with his flying vehicle.  He demands the Dragonball from Bora.  Goku arrives on his Flying Nimbus.  He punches Captain Yellow out of the flying vehicle and catches Upa with his cloud.  Goku asks Bora for the Dragonball, and Goku discovers it is his grandfather's Dragonball.  As Goku rejoices, Commander Red, the head of the Red Ribbon Army, has hired Mercenary Tao.  When General Blue arrives at the Red Ribbon HQ, Commander Red is furious that he did not retrieve a Dragonball.  Red gives Blue a chance to redeem himself.  He must fight Tao and win.  When they fight, Tao kills him with one strike.  If that was not enough, the strike came from his tongue.  Commander Red sends Tao to kill Goku and take the 4 Dragonballs in his possession.  Tao takes a column from the base and throws.  He then jumps on it.  This is his ride for the 1,500 miles to Korin.  He almost crashes into Bora, Upa, and Goku when he arrives.  Bora fights Tao, but Tao kills him with Bora's own spear.  Goku fights him, and his Kamehameha Wave seems to be useless except for destroying Mercenary Tao's clothing.  Mercenary Tao thought he killed Goku with his powerful Dodon Ray.  He takes 3 of Goku's Dragonballs and leaves on his column to get new clothes.  He gets a call from the Red Ribbon Army HQ telling him that he had left a Dragonball.  He tells them to send a soldier to retrieve the Dragonball and he would give the rest of the Dragonballs to Red in 3 days.  When the scout arrives, he learns that Goku is not dead.  He tries to leave but Goku blasts his vehicle right out of the sky.  When Tao hears of this, he agrees to go kill Goku when his outfit is finished.  Goku then climbs Korin Tower, a large tower that houses Master Korin, who possesses the Sacred Water, which was said to increase a man's strength.  When he makes it to the top, he meets Master Korin and discovers that he is a cat.  Korin says that he will only give Goku a drink of the sacred water if he can take it from him.  He says it took Master Roshi 3 years to take the water from him.  It takes Goku 3 days.  After Goku drinks the Sacred Water, Korin reveals that it was just plain tap water.  The new strength comes from climbing up the tower, taking the water, and climbing down the tower.  Goku thanks Korin and goes down to Upa's tent.  He sleeps their for the night.  Tao arrived there the next day to kill Goku.  With his increased strength, Goku gains the upper hand.  When Mercenary Tao realizes he can't win, he throws a bomb at Goku and jumps up to avoid the blast.  Goku kicks the bomb into the air.  Tao was thought to be dead.  Goku gets his Dragonballs back and promises Upa that he would revive his father with the Dragonballs.  Goku takes off to the Red Ribbon Army HQ which holds 2 of the 3 remaining Dragonballs.  Red thinks the coming person is Tao, so he turns the defense system off.  When he realizes it is Goku, he turns the system back on, but that does not stop Goku.  Bulma invents a spy ship to track down Goku.  When she uses this, she realizes that Goku is going to the Red Ribbon Army HQ.  The spy plane is destroyed by the base's defenses.  She, Master Roshi, Krillin, Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, and Launch head out on a rescue mission.  As soon as Goku arrived at the Red Ribbon Army base, he was attacked like crazy.  He battled through almost the whole army.  Those he did not fight retreated.  He fought to the building where Commander Red and Officer Black, his right hand man, are keeping the Dragonballs.  Red leaves Black telling him to kill Goku.  During the fight, Commander Red tries to kill them both.  When Black finds Red, he shoots him in the head, then taking the title Commander Black.  Black then uses a machine to try to kill Goku.  Towards the end of the fight, Black shoots a rocket at Goku.  Goku redirects the rocket back to Black, and it kills him.  Goku takes the 2 Dragonballs and leaves the base.  He is flagged down by the others who were about to go and "rescue" him.  He tells them how he destroyed practically the whole army.  The saga ends with Goku and company heading back to Roshi's island.

Fortuneteller Baba Saga

The saga begins with Bulma not being able to find the final Dragonball.  Master Roshi suggests going to see Fortuneteller Baba.  For the right price, she can find anything with her crystal ball.  Goku, Yamcha,  Puar, and Krillin set out for Fortuneteller Baba's palace.  On the way, they decide to get Goku some new clothes.  While they wait, Goku decides to go get Upa.  Goku gets Upa and gets his new clothes.  Then they set out for Fortuneteller Baba's palace.  When they arrive, they find they can not pay Baba's price, so she offers her alternate way to pay her.  She says if they defeat her 5 fighters, she will tell their fortune for free.  The rules on the outside area are that if you fall in the water you lose.  First round, Krillin vs. Fangs the vampire.  Fangs defeats Krillin.  Round 2, Upa + Puar vs. Fangs the vampire.  Upa and Puar defeat Fangs.  Round 3, Yamcha vs. the invisible man.  Krillin tries to give Yamcha the upper hand by tricking the invisible man to speak.  Baba discovers this and starts to sing very loudly.  Krillin tells Goku to go find Master Roshi and Bulma and to bring them to the arena.  When he brings them, he shows Master Roshi Bulma's boobs so he would have a major nosebleed.  The blood covers the invisible man, now making him visible.  Yamcha easily wins after that.  Master Roshi also reveals that Fortuneteller Baba is his sister.  They go to the devil's toilet.  The rules are the same.  However, if you fall in, you are all but guarantied to die.  The next round features Yamcha vs. Bandages the mummy.  Bandages thrashes Yamcha.  The next fight is Goku vs. Bandages.  Goku defeats him.  After that is Spike the devil man.  This surprises Master Roshi because he is usually last.  Spike uses his ultimate weapon, the devil might beam.  This uses the evil inside somebody to expand and destroy the person.  It does not affect Goku because he is pure of heart.  Goku defeats Spike and moves on to fight the last of Baba's fighters.  This man wears a mask and has a halo floating above his head.  Both Master Roshi and Goku find something familiar about the last fighter.  As they fight, the mysterious fighter uses the Kamehameha Wave.  Goku dodges it and fires his own Kamehameha Wave.  Goku seems to knock the last fighter out.  The fighter grabs Goku's tail, his only weakness.  He starts flinging him around to the extent that the tail comes off.  Then the mysterious fighter surprisingly forfeits.  He takes off his mask and it is revealed that the fighter is Goku's deceased grandfather, Gohan.  Gohan talks to Goku and then disappears after a goodbye.  This is because he could only walk the earth for one day.  Fortuneteller Baba then reveals the location of the final Dragonball.  Goku goes to the place and finds it is in the possession of Emperor Pilaf.  In their super robot suits, they battle Goku.  Goku defeats Pilaf, Mai, and Shu.  He takes the Dragonball and Shu's clothes.  He then flies back to the palace to pick up Upa.  They fly to the base of Korin Tower.  Goku uses the Dragonballs to summon the eternal dragon, Shenron.  Upa wishes his father would be brought back to life.  The dragon grants his wish and disappears.  Right before the Dragonballs are scattered, Goku jumps up and grabs the 4 star ball.  Goku then flies back to the palace.  Master Roshi tells him he should wander the earth on foot.  He leaves off to do just that.  On this journey he fights Terror and Plague, Rising Dragon and Sky Dragon, and Shula.  He also makes friends such as Chao, Master Chin and his son Chin, Princess Misa, Inoshikacho, and Konkichi.  He also faces 2 fighters that lie to earn money.  During his training, his tail grows back.  The saga ends with Goku swimming out to Papaya Island, the site of the World Martial Arts Tournament.

Tien Shinhan Saga

The saga begins with Goku swimming to Papaya Island for the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament.  He arrives at just the nick of time.  It turns out that the 2 fighters unnamed fighters in the Fortuneteller Baba saga are named Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu.  They are students of the Crane Hermit, Master Shen, Master Roshi's rival.  The final 8 includes the following: Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Man-Wolf, Pomput, and Master Roshi disguised as Jackie Chun.  The 1st round fights are as follows: Yamcha vs. Tien Shinhan, Jackie Chun vs. Man-Wolf, Krillin vs. Chiaotzu, and Goku vs. Pomput.  During Tien and Yamcha's fight, Tien breaks Yamcha's leg.  The 2nd round fights were as follows: Tien Shinhan vs. Jackie Chun and Krillin vs. Goku.  During Tien Shinhan and Jackie Chun's fight, Master Roshi tried to give Tien some advise.  He told him to turn away from his dark ways.  Master Roshi gives the advise during the fight and, when he is done, jumps out of the ring.  The final round fight was Tien Shinhan vs. Goku.  Late in the fight, Tien Shinhan destroys the stage with his Neo Tribeam.  That means the first to touch the ground loses.  Goku uses his Kamehameha Wave to bump into Tien, sending them both into town towards the ground.  Goku would have won, but he crashed into a truck, sending him to the ground a split second before Tien.  Goku and Tien become friends.  They are about to eat dinner when Goku realizes he had forgotten his power pole and his grandfather's Dragonball at the stadium.  Krillin volunteers to go get it.  They order the food.  They think Krillin is taking too long, so they start eating.  Goku then has a vision and runs to the stadium.  When he arrives, he finds Krillin dead.

Demon King Piccolo Saga

The saga begins where the Tien Shinhan saga ended.  Goku is angered by the death of his friend.  He flies off to kill whoever killed his best friend.  He finds him using the dragon radar.  He fights the beast known as Tambourine.  Tambourine destroys Goku's Flying Nimbus.  Tambourine defeats him and, thinking he is dead, leaves.  Tambourine takes the Dragonball and a list of the World Martial Arts Society to King Piccolo.  Piccolo tells him to kill all the warriors on the list.  He wants them killed because a fighter, Master Mutaito, imprisoned him in a electric rice cooker.  Goku awakens and finds a giant fish  cooking over a fire.  Yajiroby is angered that Goku ate his fish and fights him.  During the fight, Piccolo gives birth to his 3rd son, Cymbal.  He commands him to find all the Dragonballs.  Cymbal goes to the location of Yairoby and Goku because Yajiroby has a Dragonball.  Yajiroby kills Cymbal and eats him.  Goku tells Yajiroby to give him the Dragonball because other monsters will attack.  Goku chases Yajiroby.  Tambourine attacks Yajiroby.  Goku arrives just in time.  Goku kills Tambourine with his Kamehameha Wave.  Yajiroby gives Goku his Dragonball.  Master Roshi, Chiaotzu, and Tien Shinhan start to look for the Dragonballs to either revive Krillin or defeat King Piccolo.  They find 5 of the Dragonballs.  King Piccolo, angered by the death of his children, goes to fight with Goku.  They fight and King Piccolo easily defeats him.  He takes the Dragonball that is in Goku's possession.  Yajiroby comes out of the shadows and takes Goku to Korin Tower.  There he is met by Bora and Upa.  Bora throws Yajiroby up so he would be able to get Goku up to the top of Korin Tower on his back.  When he gets up there, Korin tells him he would have to find the Ultra Divine Water.  The Ultra Divine Water unlocks the latent strength in one's body.  Goku and an unwilling Yajiroby go to find the water.  They face many challenges to get to the water.  When he finds the water, an invisible voice tells him that, if he survived, he would have increased strength.  He also says that out of the 13 people that have drank the water, none have survived.  Goku takes the risk, and benefits greatly.  He unknowingly gained most of his gorilla form's strength.  He flies off to fight Piccolo.  During his quest, Master Roshi fights Piccolo, who at the time held the last 2 Dragonballs.  Tien would have helped, but Roshi had used a potion to knock him out.  He tries to use the Evil Containment Wave, the only known way to defeat Piccolo, and misses.  He dies because he used all his energy.  Piccolo now has all 7 Dragonballs.  He summons the eternal dragon, Shenron, to give himself eternal youth.  Chiaotzu tries to kill Piccolo with the wish, but Piccolo kills him.  Piccolo's wish is granted, and now he has the power to rule the world.  He kills Shenron so nobody could ever defeat him that way.  He takes over the world and releases all criminals.  He also abolishes the police.  Tien masters the Evil Containment Wave and takes a plane to fight Piccolo.  When he gets there, Piccolo gives birth to his 4th and final child, Drum.  Drum is the strongest of Piccolo's children.  Drum is more than enough for Tien and almost kills him.  Goku has a knack for timing, for he saves Tien and kills Drum with 1 strike.  With that the battle for the fate of the earth began.  Piccolo put up a good fight, even crippling Goku, but Goku was victorious.  He launched himself up and used his gorilla strength to punch right through Piccolo.  But what happened next could not have been predicted.  Piccolo, at the edge of his life, spat out an egg with his entire essence.  Piccolo explodes but his legacy lives on.  It lives on in Piccolo Jr.

Piccolo Jr. Saga

Yajiroby takes Goku to Korin's Tower for a Sensu Bean.  A Sensu Bean has healing properties.  Korin tells Goku that the only way for Shenron to be revived is to talk to Kami, the creator of the Dragonballs.  To do this, he would need his power pole.  He looks at the battlefield but can not find it.  He goes to Fortuneteller Baba's palace so she can use her crystal ball to find it.  It is revealed that the power pole is at Master Roshi's island.  He goes to the island and grabs the power pole.  He then returns to Korin Tower.  He uses the pole to get to Kami's Lookout.  There he meets Mr. Popo.  They spar and Popo easily defeats him.  Goku decides to train there for the next 3 years.  Then Kami emerges. Goku attacks him, thinking he is Piccolo.  This is because Kami and Piccolo were once one and the same.  He also tells him that Piccolo survived through Piccolo Jr.  Kami told him that he would revive the eternal dragon, if Goku will train there for the next 3 years.  He needed to train so he could defeat Piccolo once and for all.  Kami asks Mr. Popo to put the dragon model back together.  Kami then brings it to life.  The Dragonballs then reactivate.  Yamcha and Bulma summon the dragon.  They wish that everyone killed by Piccolo or his minions was to be revived.  Their wish is granted, bringing back Krillin, Master Roshi, Chiaotzu, and all the fighters Tambourine killed.  Goku starts his training for the next 3 years.  3 years later, he enters in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.  He had his tail cut off so that the moon would reappear.  The people in the final 8 are as follows: Goku, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Junior, Anonymous, Yamcha, Hero, and Cyborg Tao.  Chiaotzu was defeated by Cyborg Tao during the preliminary rounds.  The fights are Tien Shinhan vs. Cyborg Tao, Goku vs. Anonymous, Krillin vs. Junior, and Yamcha vs. Hero.  After Goku and Anonymous's fight, Anonymous reveals herself as Chi-Chi, the Ox King's daughter.  She says he promised to marry her, and Goku explains he thought a bride was something to eat.  He then proposes.  Round 2 fights are as follows: Tien Shinhan vs. Goku and Junior vs. Hero.  Goku talks to Hero before Hero's fight.  Goku figured out that Hero was Kami.  Kami had possessed Hero because he says he had to defeat Piccolo Jr. because Goku could not for fear that it would kill him because if one goes, the other follows suit.  During the fight, Kami tries to use the Evil Containment Wave to imprison Piccolo Jr.  Piccolo redirects it and imprisons Kami in a small jar.  Before he is sealed, Kami releases Hero's body.  Piccolo Jr. wins the fight and swallows the jar.  The final fight features Goku vs. Piccolo Jr.  In an epic battle, Goku and Piccolo Jr. seem equally matched.  Piccolo Jr. even grows to a great height.  Big enough to swallow Goku.  Goku attacks Piccolo from the inside.  He also grabs the jar that holds Kami.  When he exits Piccolo, he frees Kami.  Piccolo shrinks back to normal size.  Piccolo Jr. almost destroys the whole island with one blast.  Even though the island was not destroyed, most of the buildings were destroyed.  Goku barely defeats Piccolo.  After he defeats him, Goku gives Piccolo a sensu bean.  Piccolo flies away, yelling that he will eventually defeat Goku.  Goku then takes Chi-Chi on his Flying Nimbus to get married.  The Ox King makes preparations for the wedding, when the castle catches on fire.  The Ox King tells Goku and Chi-Chi to find the Bancho Fan.  They try to find it at Octagon Village, but they fail.  On the bright side, they find instructions to make a Bancho Fan.  It includes feathers from a Fire Eater bird.  They run into Emperor Pilaf during this.  They try to steal the last Fire Eater egg.  Goku and Chi-Chi try to collect the feathers, but they turn to ashes at the touch.  They do take pieces of the egg though.  They find snow that is able to freeze fire, but when a women gets on the mountain that the snow is on, a violent storm starts.  They fall down the mountain to a women named Octagon's house.  As Goku goes back up to collect snow, Octagon gives Chi-Chi wife lessons.  Not life lessons, wife lessons.  On the mountain, Emperor Pilaf attacks Goku, but since Mai was on the mountain with him, a storm started.  Pilaf kicks Mai off the mountain so that the storm would stop.  He then shoots a rocket at Goku, but Mai comes back, making the rocket's flame freeze.  Goku collects snow and leaves.  As he takes the snow back to Octagon's house, it melts.  Chi-Chi finds the Bancho Fan.  Octagon gives Chi-Chi some honey from her bees.  This is a rare type known as Octagon Honey.  They go back to the Ox Kings house to put out the flames.  It only makes the flames larger, so they go to the Magical Furnace.  At the furnace, they see Goku's grandfather, Gohan, and Annin, the furnace's keeper.  She says there must be a hole and it is leaking.  She says she can not turn the furnace off because many evil things will happen.  Goku says he will go into the furnace and fill the hole with the egg pieces of the fire eater and the honey of the Octagon Bees.  He fills the hole and goes back to the Ox King's castle.  Goku and Chi-Chi are married at the end of the series.
